Port parking, overnight unreliable

Used during the day without any problem at the beginning of March 2025. For sleeping, we asked at the sauna at the end of the parking lot whether we could spend one night there (we used the sauna and parked from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. to cause as little disturbance as possible).

Parking only! There are no signs that forbid parking but friendly Finns from a bar explained that they prefer campervans/ mobilhomes be parked at the parking near the playground. Police make their round at night and will wake you up to move.

Ideal place for walking into town—relatively quiet night, what more could you ask for? The view is fantastic.

Pleasant parking area close to the city center

During the day we met some very nice Finns here who spontaneously invited us ice fishing. After sunset, the deaf people arrive, who can only “hear” music when they turn up the bass so much that the car shakes. They are joined by learner drivers practicing starting off. They press the accelerator until the rev limiter protests and cuts in, but forget to engage first gear

A meeting place for local youths at night. Very loud cars, quad bikes, and music. Even in winter.

I can only confirm that this place is suitable for daytime use only. In the evening, youths run wild here with loud cars and music. We had to change places after midnight because it became unbearable.

The scenery is absolutely magnificent, but it is not suitable for sleeping. Young people drive cars and mopeds here in the evening and at night. It is impossible to sleep in the noise.

Beautiful spot. Didn't see any prohibition signs, maybe they put them only during the holidays.

Good place for a walk around the city. We did not spend the night, so we cannot say anything about that.
