Been here?
A roadside parking area beneath the road, but recent reports describe access as currently extremely difficult, with many holes and a very steep slope. The uneven ground can be uncomfortable, although the spot is sheltered from wind. The sanitary facilities may be open while the showers and beach bar can be closed.

WARNING: impossible to access even in a van. There are holes everywhere and the slope is very steep. I strongly advise against it, especially for motorhomes—you will only damage your vehicle.
The site has a steep slope everywhere and is very uncomfortable. You are parked below the road in a deep hollow. We drove on and found a beautiful spot by the sea two minutes farther on.
Fantastic spot! We spent the night here with two other vans; it was very quiet at night. You can walk straight to the beach, and the shower works. There is also a beautiful walking trail. A truly top spot.
We spent the night of 21 April 2026 here. There are indeed no signs prohibiting overnight parking, unlike the other car parks we passed on the way. The showers and bar were closed, but the toilets were open. The spot is not very level, but sheltered from the wind, and the nearby beach is magnificent. We slept very well!
Beautiful Karlobag beach. I took the liberty of driving through the tunnel to the beach because there was strong wind and it was quieter there. Everything on the beach was closed except the toilet. People walked around in the evening, but there were no problems. We had a wonderful night.
Spectacular place. We went in autumn and everything was closed, with no one around in the morning. We were able to use the toilet and kitchen tap. We swam at the beach and then showered in the beach shower. There are even power outlets, so we could charge our phone. Locals start appearing around noon. Maps shows the location incorrectly; use Waze.
One minute from a beautiful little bay. From 30 August, the bars are closed. Some spots are slightly sloping.
A wonderful stop. The only drawback is that the area slopes a little. It can accommodate three to four vans, which was the case for us. A very peaceful night, and the next morning we took a short 7-km hike along the coastal footpath. Magnificent little cove with a fairly busy beach. Don’t hesitate to walk through the small passage under the road.
Highly recommended. We stayed here for one night. It is very busy during the day, and at night the police drove directly past us and circled next to our car, but did nothing and drove on. The place is so beautiful and clean. There are toilets right there; they are not particularly clean, but okay. We were also here with a dog, which was tolerated.
We slept here for one night. Very quiet, but a little sloping. Strong wind at night, but that is normal on the coast. Three minutes’ walk from the beach, with services and a bar during the day.
Really great! Also recommended for people who want to stay overnight. We saw hardly any litter, and the beach is beautiful! On the left side of the bay, a path leads up onto the rocks, offering a very nice view.
Nice, sheltered, and above all quiet place to park. We arrived late in the evening and were the only ones there. Especially considering the previous comments, we were pleasantly surprised by how clean the place was. The beach is only 100 m away, and the beach café has a shower and toilets that can be used. We will definitely come back.
Wonderful place to stay. We stayed one night. Direct access to a small cove by a café; the café was closed, probably because it was low season. As a result, the beach was very quiet apart from a few walkers. Another camper was there when we arrived, and there was plenty of space. It was not very clean. Please clean up your rubbish!
We stayed here for one night. Since we were completely alone, we could choose a reasonably level spot. The Bora, a strong katabatic wind, was extremely noticeable and loud; our motorhome was shaken well. Otherwise, a good, quiet, clean place in November. The bar behind the tunnel was closed.
Spent one night here. A bit steep in some places so definitely use the handbrake and put it in gear. For the rest nice quiet place. Noise from the main road is not disturbing at all. It was the off season so I can't give any comments about the noise of the beach bar nearby across the tunnel.
