Canyon clearing, severely muddy access

Great view and quiet at night. The site is on the old SH72, which is badly eroded. Access from Berat with a 6-meter van is possible without 4x4 if you drive carefully. Several tourists in rental small cars visited us on their way to Përmet. Some ignored our warning, then returned after a few minutes. The access road has significant water scars after recent rains. Before entering, it is worth checking whether the car can handle it. The clearing is slightly flooded with water. You can stand in the right end. The views are wonderful.

Even coming from Berat, driving the last few hundred meters in was not an option for us. Large rocks and potholes now in November. From Përmet, it is only possible with a 4x4 anyway. The approach from Berat takes about two hours! Consider whether it is really worth it. Yes, the views into the gorge at the back are beautiful (there are three viewpoints along the road), but there are better-accessible wild camping spots in Albania.✦Translating

A brilliant place. In dry weather, we reached it easily with a 7-meter motorhome. The only visitors were a herd of goats with a shepherd, whom we treated to a beer.
