Very nice during the day! NOT suitable for overnight stays, and it is not permitted; inspections are expensive. The paved area is not for vehicles but for visitors who want to study the associated map. The parking lot at the Salmbach sports field is much better suited for overnight stays and has fewer mosquitoes.
Overnight stays forbidden; Natura 2000 area. €135 fine. It is often inspected.
Simply wonderful to have a place like this at an interesting historic structure, the Lauter Line. A quiet place, good for hiking, near a nature reserve on the German side. Only for completely self-sufficient compact vehicles; up to 6 meters is recommended.
Magnificent place straddling the border; you only need to cross the small bridge to be in Germany. There are beautiful walks in the woods.
