This is a small parking area near the Großglockner toll gate, suitable for a free overnight stay and offering excellent mountain views. The latest information says the 10€ charge applies to the asphalt parking area below, while this area is free. Toilets at the toll gate are free and open from 6.30-19.30. Traffic is noticeable during the day, but nights are generally quiet; cows nearby can bring many flies.

Great place to spend the night near the Grossglockner. The €10 price applies to the asphalt parking lot down below, but this parking lot here is free. The morning view is fantastic.Translating
There is a sign here for parking by the meadow or nearby hut. We spent one night here for free. There were lots of flies because of the cows right next to us. It is by the toll gate, where there are free toilets. Beautiful view.Translating
Magnificent view over three-quarters of the panorama. However, we were a little disappointed by the rest because it is next to a toll booth. There is some traffic, but it was not disturbing at night and we did not hear anything. We did not have to pay.Translating

It’s beautiful but not free anymore apparently. The woman who owns the parking lot came up and asked for 10 euro for 24 hours. So not free but beautiful!
