836 Yardley Wood Road, B13 0JE, Birmingham
Been here?
A large roadside parking area beside a through road, suitable for an overnight stop but not especially quiet. A recent stay was described as safe and comfortable, although older reports mention litter and a serious vehicle incident. A bus stop is 2 minutes away, with a journey of about 30 minutes, and shops, takeaways, the canal and nearby Tolkien sites are accessible.

We spent one night here. Since there is a main road next door, it was naturally never quiet. Nevertheless, we slept well and felt safe. A bus stop is 2 minutes away; the journey takes about 30 minutes. We would come again.
Although I spent a (noisy) night here and felt reasonably safe, the place is really quite dirty. Earlier, a local resident came and asked concernedly whether I intended to stay here. She said this was not a safe area. She certainly sounded genuine.
Boy racers smashed into my van just after midnight. Fortunately, I was still up. Would have been pretty scary if I was in bed. They drove off before I could get their full details and one tried to block me from photographing the number plate. It’s a shame because I have parked here a few times without issue. Also noticed flytipping and rubbish is getting worse. Won’t be parking here again.
Stopped overnight having parked up and left the van for a few hours. Saturday night but pretty quiet. Little traffic noise. Checked with local resident with campervan who confirmed safe to park and often used.
Great park up near Birmingham, big long road that dog walkers and people use to rest and park near the common entrance. Quiet overnight with some traffic noise early doors but no bother from people. Awesome Indian restaurant opposite.
An ok place to stop, can get busy Fridays and weekends with boy racers , lovely common the other side of hedge that we saw muntjac in, a nice surprise for inner city. lovely curry house opposite, quite a bit of a hotspot for litter, and fly tipping but over all got a sleep in not everyone's cup of tea.
