Rue du Pécos 35, 1422, Grandson
Been here?
Family lakeside campsite at Camping du Pécos on Lac de Neuchâtel, with direct lake access, a small shop, restaurant, laundry and playgrounds. Sanitary blocks are consistently praised as clean, staff are friendly, and pitches are level though quite tight together. Showers run on a paid token (about 1 CHF for 4 minutes). The main downside is a rail line right beside the site, with freight trains passing frequently at night. Expect roughly 12-50 CHF per night depending on party size and season.

The staff are very welcoming, with a grocery shop nearby. Clean sanitary facilities. The lake is right next door. A good restaurant is also right next door. The problem is that it is beside a railway line, and many freight trains pass at night, creating a lot of noise.
Fantastic site right at the side of Switzerlands largest lake restaurant. shop toilets shower block bar pot wash all to a high standard. Staff friendly. Would definitely recommend
We arrived at the last second, yet we were still welcomed with open arms. Very friendly and service-minded staff. Peaceful and beautifully located right by the lake.
The motorhome site was excellent. The owner is very nice and has kept everything very well maintained and clean. I think the shower is a very good solution: CHF 1 for four minutes, but if you stop the water, the timer also stops. It is completely sufficient. A super delicious bakery can be reached in ten minutes.
We stayed there over the holidays, from Good Friday to Easter Monday. We made a short-notice online reservation and got a pitch directly by the lake. The site manager was very helpful and nice! The pitch was level, with a paved stone area in front of the door. Sanitary facilities were clean. The shop offered rather a sparse selection. And yes, the train at night takes some getting used to!
Positive points: cleanliness, friendly staff, the lake, and many playgrounds and parks. Negative points: the noise, including at night (trains, music, neighbours, dogs), and the lack of space because the pitches are packed together.
Very welcoming and quiet. The toilets are clean. The shower is paid and timed for four minutes. Personally, it did not bother us, even with a three-year-old child. I recommend it.
Excellent campsite with a great view of the lake, and an exceptional manager and campers. We were supposed to stay one night but stayed two. It is a shame that TCS is going to take over the campsite—enjoy it while it is still time!
Great, the sanitary facilities are clean and it is relatively quiet despite the train traffic. The only thing I would not recommend is the restaurant: the food is okay but far too expensive; we paid €65 for two dishes.
Ninety percent of the campsite consists of permanent caravans in a deplorable state. Smell of mud throughout the campsite. Timed, paid showers. The campsite is right beside the railway line, with a train every ten minutes, so it is noisy. Unheated sanitary block (at 5°C) and very dirty. Avoid it—certainly the worst campsite in Switzerland.
Very friendly welcome, clean sanitary facilities and attractive prices. It is true that the pitches for people travelling in vehicles are not very large, but they do the job for one or two nights. Still, bring earplugs because the train passes right beside the campsite day and night. Apart from that, the campsite is fairly quiet and family-friendly, which is pleasant.
Small campsite by the lake, but the beach is not great because access to the lake is difficult. There are many playgrounds. Clean toilets. The management couple are friendly and welcoming. However, some residents have made themselves at home and seem to be the kings of the campsite. The pitches are very small. We probably will not return.
Clean campsite, immaculate sanitary facilities (operated with tokens), but a terrible welcome. Unpleasant, with a very oppressive atmosphere; the campsite is in the hands of local residents. We will not return.
This was my first camping experience, and Pecos was perfectly suited to a beginner camper like me :) Very clean sanitary facilities, a very warm, kind and genuine welcome. Flat, grassy and quiet tent pitch. Direct access to the lake. We watched the sunrise with around a hundred swans! Fabulous. Excellent value for money. Thanks to all the staff!
Actually a lovely site with the advantages described above. Unfortunately, swimming is not possible because of the many swans and their droppings. The described peace and quiet is disrupted every ten minutes, even at night, by passing freight trains. Lake view only for tents and one motorhome.
Nice, affordable and clean spot. Van/night: CHF 12. Adult/night: CHF 9. Dog/night: CHF 2.
We found this site to be very welcoming and well organised. The toilet facilities are very clean, the showers operate with a token which you get when you check in. Our pitch was a few metres from the lake side and great for walking the dogs. The restaurant was also well run and the food very good.
We stayed here for one night while passing through. Pitch with direct lake view, very well-maintained and clean washhouse with attention to detail. Very friendly, trilingual welcome! CHF 32 for two people and one van. We would gladly come again!
A lovely surprise at this campsite: first, a warm and highly professional welcome; a magnificent pitch with a large paved area; very friendly residents—everyone says hello and is happy to chat. Direct access to the lakeshore, where we had the pleasure of seeing six families of geese and their young, probably stopping along the migration route. We recommend this campsite.
Very nice team, beautiful location, direct access to the lake. Good sanitary facilities; you need extra coins for the shower. CHF 38 in the low season is simply Swiss pricing.
Excellent campsite. Direct access to the lake. The railway line did not bother us. Very nice operators.
Excellent family campsite, impeccable and with all services, including a minimarket. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Without a doubt, I recommend it 100%. Many thanks to Athina and Paolo for all their attention! Of course we will return!
Small, very family-oriented campsite. Many seasonal pitches. We spent one night and had a great stay! Spotless bathrooms, and the owners, a young couple, were extremely pleasant and attentive. We would return without hesitation.
