A very large, free parking lot beside a sports complex, about 15 minutes on foot from the metro and around 10 min. by metro to central Budapest. It offers plenty of space but no facilities or bins. Nights can be quiet, although football may continue until 10pm and noise starts around 6am. One recent visitor reported an attempted door break-in, which caused damage.

We spent three nights in this free parking lot. A little noisy from 6 a.m. It is a 15-minute walk from the M1 metro, at the Mexico line terminus. Well located. Ten minutes by metro and you are in the city center.
We stayed during the day to visit the city. Great spot, very close to the metro. Single ticket as of May 2026: 500 HUF / approx. €1.40. You can reach downtown in about 10 minutes, almost at the Danube, at the terminus.
Spent three nights here with no problem. A bit dusty, no facilities or bins, but free and conveniently located for the baths and city. Would stay again.
Excellent free parking for vans of any size. Quiet and safe. The M1 metro is a five-minute walk away, and the train line into the center is five minutes in the other direction. Great place to base yourself for a trip to Budapest. We spent three nights here in April 2026.
We stayed here for two nights, giving us a day and a half in Budapest. Reasonably quiet at night; football was played until 10 p.m. and coaches started up at 7 a.m., but this did not bother us. The van felt very safe and it is a short walk to the metro. A 24-hour ticket was useful. The metro is downstairs; buy tickets from the machine upstairs. Go to the end of the line for the city, but Heroes' Square is the second stop and worth getting off for.
Very uneven surface. People play football until 10 p.m.; in the morning, cars passing loudly on the road made of paving stones are noisy.
I am not giving five stars for the scenery, but this is free parking, which is rare, near the legendary M1 metro, the oldest and most beautiful in Europe, 11 minutes' walk away. It is still a parking lot, but with the stadium and people nearby, we had no security problems.
We stayed here with a passenger car during the day. We arrived around 11 a.m.; there was quite a lot of space, but when we returned at 4 p.m. there were already many more cars. No problems at all; you can stay and no one will chase you away.
Perfect overnight spot. No amenities, but loads of space and it felt safe with other campers around. Drive to the zoo car park the next morning to go to the thermal baths.
Simply a large parking lot, but you can get into Budapest in about 15 minutes. The night was quiet and many other cars and motorhomes were parked there, so we felt safe.
Not usable because of the construction site.
