Been here?
This free overnight parking area is behind Karls, with a greener overflow section near woods and fields. It is busy from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. but becomes quiet after the attraction closes, making it useful for walkers, cyclists and dog owners. Karls offers cakes, fish sandwiches, sausages, breakfast from 7 a.m. and bread, while a toilet is available in the sales hall during opening hours.

We chose the grass area at the back of the parking lot. Slightly uneven, but directly next to a forest and near fields. Very suitable for dog owners, hikers, and cyclists. Hopefully campers follow the rules; looking at the forest and its mess, I have my doubts. In any case, many thanks to Karl’s Erdbeerhof!Translating
Quiet; we stayed for three nights because all the campsites near Binz were full. Toilets are available in the wonderful shop, which is definitely worth a visit; there is also a breakfast buffet.Translating
The parking lot at Karls is great and ideal for the night, and the team does a fantastic job! Breakfast is ready in the morning, so you can enjoy your coffee and then do a little shopping. It is a shame that after the day visitors leave, rubbish is lying everywhere. How convenient that the blame is once again put on the campers.Translating
Ideal to spend the night. We spend 2 nights here, as it is quite well located for daily trips. Very busy from 8am to 8pm, then only campers. The 'overflow parking' is greener and nicer to stay. The gate doesn't close at 19h30 as indicated. Karls market allows you to buy morning buns or fresh bread. You can enjoy the restaurant at lunch or dinner or eat cake in the afternoon! Really nice!
Beautiful pitch for one night. Self-sufficient camping is recommended. The surrounding forests are perfect for walking the dog. After the strawberry farm closes, it becomes pleasantly quiet. We liked it very much.Translating
Very nice and spacious parking area. We had a quiet night. A few campers and vans were here in July, but there was still plenty of space. Nice area for a walk nearby.
Only parking. Stayed three nights, free, a few campers. Quiet, shade only at the edges of the parking lot. Excellent starting point for cycling to the end of the peninsula and to Prora. Bike paths everywhere, asphalt or good gravel road. Next to a large center with many strawberry products, a restaurant. I recommend.
Great, very quiet and plenty of space. The farm shop is truly amazing; I have never seen anything like it. All the things they make from strawberries…Translating
A beautiful and quiet parking lot for overnight stays. It is really great that Karls Erdbeerhof provides the parking lot free of charge. You can have a nice breakfast there in the morning and shop at the farm store.Translating
Super great to stay here for one night and have a mega breakfast buffet at Karls in the morning.Translating
Absolute peace, especially if you park at the very back on the gravel. It has not been a secret tip for a long time, but people are respectful and you can always find a spot. Perfect with breakfast at Karls, even if it is only the delicious rolls. Free-flow coffee thanks to the bottomless cup ;-) free refills. Ideal for children. You can even work from the camper for half a day ;-)Translating
Many thanks to Karls for letting us stay here for one night. In the morning we had breakfast and of course bought a few things as well. The place is level and really quiet at night. Highly recommended in the off-season; for us, unimaginable in the high season.Translating
The children’s carousel was always running in the evening when we were there too! A little spooky, but it somehow had its own vibe :) We had a lot of fun! Our children could go to the indoor playground on their own several times. Browsing around in the park included! We had breakfast at Karls in the morning. Many thanks for this overnight experience :)Translating
It is nice that there is such an option on Rügen. We spent a quiet night here; it gets a little louder early in the morning because work naturally takes place there. When we were there, a huge rubbish bag from three different motorhomes went into the bin at Karls Erdbeerland. I don’t think that is necessary.Translating
We asked again in the shop, and they said it was no problem if you park farther back. She recommended breakfast. Since we had already bought “something” in the evening, that worked great for us. A bit psycho was some kind of singing at night; apparently a children’s carousel had been left running. But otherwise, excellent.Translating
We spent a quiet free night. From 10 a.m. onward, the parking lot fills up rapidly—we were there Monday night to Tuesday—so either park on the gravel at the back or position yourself so you cannot be boxed in. It is probably busier on weekends.Translating
Large parking lot. Almost empty in the evening, but many cars during the day. Not very nice, but you can walk to the beach from there.Translating
Perfect place, only parking - large area. Quiet place. FREE. We did stay 1 night.
Large parking lot where overnight stays are allowed, which is very rare on Rügen! To show our appreciation, we had breakfast there, available from 8 a.m. Toilets are available during opening hours.Translating
I often stay here and am happy to leave a little more money in the shop in the morning. I now buy my edible souvenirs there as a thank-you for the opportunity.Translating
We stayed one night. Toilets are at Karls Erlebnisdorf, so only available during opening hours. The night was quiet.Translating
