A place to avoid at all costs! It is unbearable, and the access is horrible. Not recommended at all.
Not recommended. They have already changed the name to remove the bad reviews, but it is the same as before. I will not come back.
If I could, I would give it minus 10 stars. Navigation aside, the access road is more than adventurous—a complete catastrophe! Despite the stated opening hours of 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., we were not allowed in at 9 p.m., even after ringing several times. As we were turning around, an employee apparently cycled past us and nearly hit our wing mirror. Avoid it.
Very clean and well-managed motorhome site. PetBri's one-star review does not correspond to the facts in any way. They were probably misdirected by their navigation system, as I was once too; there is a parking area not far away.
We tried to spend the night here. Even the access from the N-340 via a one-way street, which is also used for exiting due to the lack of alternatives, is not for the faint-hearted. The site itself is closed. In front of the site, which looks like a rubbish dump both behind the closed gate and around the outside, some “alternatives” have made themselves at home. We fled.
Great impression so far. Friendly welcome, good size plot for a van. Right on the beach and the closest Chringuito is open. Nice walk on the beach to Torre Del Mar.
Everything is as already described by others. The site now costs €16 without electricity.
Pleasant motorhome area with a small grocery shop and fresh bread in the morning. There are small and larger pitches, but we can all open our awnings. The beach is 100 metres away. There is a bus stop nearby. Very friendly welcome, and we will return.
A surprise. The area deserves two stars, with three drawbacks: narrow spaces where it is impossible to put out the awning, a €1 coin-operated shower for 5 minutes, and payment for overnight stays in cash only, no card. The positives are the laundry and, of course, the beach behind the area. The village and an ATM are a 15-minute walk away.
The facilities are good, and the best thing is how close it is to the beach. The worst thing is that the pitches are very small, which causes many conflicts among users. Everyone tries to get as close as possible to their neighbour, yet it is still narrow and cramped. With all the space they have, they put us in like sardines in a tin. It will remain a problematic area with pitches this size.
Very good service and a very good access path to the beach. Some pitches are larger than others, and the difference is noticeable depending on the size of the motorhome.
In January we called to reserve three nights in July because we are attending a festival. They said it was no problem, but that we had to wait until April when bookings opened. Today they told us the minimum stay is 15 nights and that they are raising the price because of high demand. The result: no accommodation and no availability. Shameful. This has never happened to us before.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not your area. They do not control the noise, and people keep making a racket until very late. The area itself is fine, but they charge an extra €7 for leaving on Sunday after noon, regardless of whether, for example, you arrived at 8 p.m. on Friday. It should be based on 24 hours.
Excellent location, service, and facilities. The beach is right outside. The entrance is somewhat confusing because it is via a dirt track. Sleep while listening to the waves. Showers €1 for 5 minutes, water and waste facilities, sinks, shop, and bar.
The coordinates and address of the entrance to the site are: Latitude: 36.724512 Longitude: -4.126242 Address: Lugar el Hornillo, 72, 29749 Vélez-Málaga, Málaga, Spain
It is a very quiet place and there is no nightclub. That night, however, a car parked outside on the street and played music. We called the police several times, but they did not come.
Actually a very nicely located site. Clean and well maintained, practically right by the sea. Only one star because it is unbearably noisy at night. We stayed one night from Saturday to Sunday. There is a club/disco nearby that plays extremely loud music all night, well past sunrise. Sleeping was impossible. The approach via the dirt tracks is for the adventurous, but manageable with a 7-metre motorhome.
Unable to rate it; the entrance to the site was difficult to find. We went to a nearby parking area instead and found it by walking. It is a small path on the left when coming from Vélez-Málaga, at the end of the track. There is no sign on the road.
Very friendly and helpful welcome. Clean shower (€1) and toilet. Small pitches. Directly by the sea. Everything you need is available, including a small kiosk. Washing machine and dryer for a fee. Happily return.
They required a minimum stay of three nights. I will leave it at that. Everyone can choose their own description.
Everything is great. We would come back anytime. This is the fourth time we have stayed here for an extended period, and everyone is very nice.
No locks on toilet doors, cats everywhere. On the plus side right on the beach. OK for a couple of days!
