A paid P+R parking area without a height barrier, about 5 minutes from Zaandam’s centre and close to the railway station. It has plenty of space and can accommodate an 8m motorhome, although larger vehicles may need 2 parking spaces. Payment is made at the exit barrier; one recent stay cost 6,90€ for 45 minutes. A train reaches Amsterdam’s centre in 12min.

Leaving was not easy. The Visa card did not work contactlessly. After inserting it into the reader, it took a while for the barrier to open, and the price was not displayed. The surprise came afterward: €6.90 charged for 45 minutes of parking! This price corresponds to two hours of parking. Strange, isn't it?
Practical parking for a trip to Amsterdam. We stayed there with an 8-meter motorhome. Plenty of free spaces. The train station is right next door and takes you to Amsterdam city center in 12 minutes. Payment is made at the exit barrier. Our German debit card did not work, but Visa was fine. €14 for an afternoon.
Paid parking, with card payment at the barrier, close to Zaandam center and almost next to the station. Ideal for visiting the city center. Attention: motorhomes need to take two parking spaces. No spaces are reserved for our vehicles.
We parked here to visit the hotel and take some photos. We think it was free because we stayed less than an hour. It is very close to the hotel, up the stairs from the train station.
