Unnamed Road, 3610, Tarouca
Been here?
A peaceful hilltop picnic and overnight spot at Cristo-Rei, with magnificent views over the valley, the distant Douro valley and mountains. The paved area has several relatively level places, picnic tables, a permanent fountain and barbecues, but the toilets are closed. Access is steep, narrow and stone-paved, so the route is difficult for vehicles wider than vans; wind can also be strong.

Beautiful, peaceful spot with access to water and relatively level ground. However, beware of the wind—we were caught off guard.
A truly beautiful place with a magnificent view. The night was very quiet; the site is paved and has a few level spots. The swing is great, and there is a fountain and plenty of picnic tables. In the off-season, apparently nothing much happens here; we were almost the only ones up here.
Remote, paved spot with an almost level parking area. Toilets are closed! Unfortunately, many people simply leave their rubbish behind. The view is magnificent, and there is a swing right on the edge—wow! Water flows from a fountain, and there is also a barbecue. The approach is no problem by car with a rooftop tent. Coming from Tarouca, the directions are correct.
A great spot for a quiet night. Paved parking, picnic tables, bin, fountain, and a magnificent view. We had a very peaceful and restful night. Superb!
Perfect spot for one night. Convenient, with its fountain and barbecues. The only drawback is that the toilets are closed. Thanks.
