Small, quiet parking area opposite the school gate, surrounded by green hedges and about 800 m from the mining museum. Overnight stays are best outside school periods, when the area is generally very calm. It can accommodate larger motorhomes at weekends when the school is closed. No services are mentioned.

Very quiet for one night, and more suitable for small motorhomes, but we managed to park our 7.5 m motorhome because it was a weekend and nobody was in the parking area. Thank you.
Very quiet place for the night; there were two motorhomes. Very close to the beautiful mining site, which is really worth visiting.
School parking lot, to be used only outside school periods. Very quiet at night. We stayed because it was Saturday evening, so there was no school the next day, and we parked at the back to leave the entrance spaces for cars.
Avoid during the school term… people complain. Apparently there is another parking area closer to the center of Lewarde, at Place des Vesignons.
Small, quiet parking area surrounded by homes. If you walk down the dead-end street, you can reach the Lewarde woods on foot in a few minutes. Note that household rubbish is collected on Monday morning. We had a very good night’s sleep (during school holidays).
