Been here?
This is a free, large and level motorhome area near Lugo’s old town, with water, drainage and toilet emptying. A park is nearby, and the cathedral is about 15 minutes away on foot. Some spaces are very quiet near the park, while those facing the road hear traffic. The area closes around the city festivals, including from the end of September until mid-October and during the Arde Lucus festival in June.

Large area with plenty of capacity, all services, a very good location, and super quiet.Translating
Asphalt parking area without shade. Water services. Near the old town and next to a park. Level spaces.Translating
Perfect place to see the city. Spectacular cathedral. You can walk along the top of the city walls. Good service area.Translating
Large, flat area with many spaces, the quieter places are closest to the park which is directly behind. 15 mins walk to the Cathedral. The services include water, drainage and toilet emptying. You need a threaded adapter to use your hose to refill your tank. Rubbish container is close to the entrance. Spent two restful nights there. Thanks to the council for the facility.Translating
It is large, spacious, and very well located. The council deserves thanks for it, but only three stars because the ground is so dirty!Translating
Accessible as of 11 July.Translating
I have rarely seen such a good camper site in a city. It was incredibly quiet, even though you sleep in the middle of the city. Apparently there is a big difference in noise between the spaces with a view, which hear the road, and the spaces against the hill and park. It is extremely quiet there. The person who wrote the review below was there on the same day, but on the side with the view.Translating
I confirm everything in the previous review! I am not giving five stars only because of the noise. Thanks to the municipality.Translating
Spacious, level area with many spaces. Good views of the greenery and located below a large park. It has water filling and emptying facilities, with bins nearby. The only negative is that it is next to a fairly busy road, and traffic can be heard at night. Our night also coincided with some very noisy neighbors, although that was an isolated incident.Translating
Always magnificent... I like staying here... very busy.Translating
It is open now. Still dirty with remnants of the festival. Spacious and very quiet. Very close to the historic center and city walls, and next to a magnificent park.Translating
Today, 24 June, it is still closed. Unfortunately, there are no signs indicating where to park to visit the city. We left.Translating
The site was closed because of a festival. Unfortunately, the city provided no information about any alternative! We had to drive 15 km farther.Translating
Everything is closed here because of the festival. However, we were allowed to discharge water and empty the toilet. Thanks for that; three stars.Translating
Excellent area with beautiful views next to the city center, and it is true that in June and September it is somewhat occupied by local events. Emptying and filling are completely free, which is wonderful considering how much we traveled through Galicia by motorhome. We can say that, in this respect, Galicia is top quality.Translating
Arrived here late morning and there was plenty of room - only half of the area is roped off. Very convenient for the town - only a few minutes through the park. Great walk around the Roman walls, very pretty town. Translating
June, small van: crowded and no spaces available; nevertheless well located but without shade. It is a large parking area.Translating
Wonderful place for visiting the old town. Only half is closed off; 20 motorhomes were there in the afternoon.Translating
Everything excellent, but we had to leave because it closes from 1 June to 7 June for some event.Translating
Thanks to the municipality for this large parking area. Very beautiful city with its walls and a lovely cathedral to visit. Above the area there is a magnificent park. José and Fred, Lot-et-Garonne, Aquitaine.Translating
Good place to park and spend the night. There are water filling and emptying facilities. Near the city walls and old town. In mid-May there were 20 motorhomes and no parking problems. If you want to visit Lugo and sleep overnight, this is a perfect place. Thanks, municipality.Translating
Excellent stopover, thank you, community. Ideal for walking up through the park to the old town, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.Translating
Very large car park with free services, which we did not use. More than 20 vans stayed each night. We spent two quiet, undisturbed nights. Uphill to Rosalía de Castro Park, where there is a great café-restaurant with an excellent €14 set lunch per person. Nice provincial town to visit.Translating
Good park up area, it was quiet at night too. Backs onto a beautiful park, but it is an uphill walk through the park into the city. Translating
Thank you and bravo to the municipality. This is a motorhome welcome that every city should take as an example: flat, large, quiet, lovely views, near a beautiful park, and not far from the historic center. The only thing needed is for the two taps to be labeled, one for drinking water and one for toilets. Unfortunately, some people touch both taps with their toilet cassettes.Translating
We slept here from Friday night to Saturday. Very quiet and spacious site. Level area. In the morning there were cars from the sports hall.Translating
Every city in this country could follow their example. Level, asphalted surface; free fresh- and grey-water services. Five minutes from the fantastic walls surrounding the city, which you can walk around completely while looking down over the city—a marvel! A score of 20 for this city, and no, I am not mistaken: 20.Translating
Very good area, with filling and emptying services, very quiet and close to the center.Translating
Really good for a simple parking area. Slight slope, but manageable. Nice park, close to the old town, and all free. I wish more cities offered this. Thanks for it!Translating
Thnx Lugo! Great place , perfect location to visit city. Two great walks same day . City and the lunch in the morning ! Small siesta in the camper ! And nice walk to the river and Roman bridge in the evening! Hope Madrid or Barcelona can afford camper parking lots and locations like this !!!!Translating
Very central; the old town is quickly reachable on foot. There is a park directly behind the site, which may be interesting for dog owners. The site is very quiet at night.Translating
Without a doubt, one of the best motorhome areas I have seen in a city: magnificent views, central location, and all services.Translating
Large, mostly level area. Quiet at night. Well located for visiting the old town. The black-water disposal works, but it takes some getting used to. It is very rudimentary.Translating
12/04/2026 - Large parking space. All service points working. Very quiet night. Convenient for visiting the town - which is worth a visit! Be careful of double intersection just before entering parking area. Thank you for this space! Much appreciated!Translating
Beautiful camper site not far from the center. The spaces are not marked, but everyone kept their distance this time. All facilities are available. The city is pleasant, with nice restaurants and shops. Later in the evening and at night it became unsettled: motorcycles driving around and campers arriving late and making noise during the night—at four in the morning. A shame, hence one star deducted.Translating
Good location for visiting the city, clean place with services. Unfortunately, there is only one tap at each service point, so we did not use it.Translating
Very good. Level, asphalted, grey- and black-water emptying, and filling facilities. Quiet and just a step from the center. And free as well. Impressive.Translating
Thanks to the Lugo council for the motorhome area. Very quiet site with excellent views and very clean. There are also splendid places to walk along the river.Translating
Good for visiting the city.Translating
Very well located, quiet for sleeping, and close to the city center.Translating
We slept comfortably, without noise, and it is very convenient for visiting the city.Translating
Spacious, asphalted, with good views; adequate.Translating
Excellent area in Rosalía de Castro Park, near the city walls. It is asphalted and level. Thanks to the council for providing it. I will return, because the city is worthwhile and has a great tapas area with good prices.Translating
Great stay, perfect for any size of van, as some coaches manage access. Lift the string to dump black water, someone had just emptied theirs through the grey waste grid. Perfect for walking into old town. The Roman walls are a great walk. Thanks to the town. Translating
Seniors;7.3mtrs;24/2/26: Spacious aire within uphill walk of the old town, good when walking home at the end of the day! Far reaching views and quiet when we visited. Access has tight right turn (best approached from north via Ronda da Muralla but that can mean long detour). Translating
