Unnamed road, 68-100, Zagan
Been here?
Parking area beside the Stalag Luft III site and the exit of tunnel Harry, suitable for visiting the museum and memorial grounds. Overnight stays have been possible without problems, and the area is quiet and shaded. Access is via a bumpy gravel track, with parking on sandy grass. The nearby wooden horse entrance has a very poor road.

Lovey quite place to stay. We asked the museum curator first if ok to stay the night as arrived just after closing. Police parked up for 1/2 hr for their break and didn't question us. A visit to the museum and grounds were very interesting and moving.
Fascinating place to stop and explore the site of the escape tunnel 'Harry'. Access track is very lumpy but easily drivable. Quiet place off season. We planned to stay the night but went to the nearby museum instead- just so we were there for it opening.
Stayed here for 1N on 14.09. after visiting the museum nearby. Harry a few meters into the woods at the wooden lookout point and memorial stone. A couple of other campers with us. Gravel bumpy road! PS.. the wooden horse entrance is in the vicinity but the road to it very poor and it's just a info board so not worth the effort.
We stayed one night. It was quiet; nobody came to throw us out. Even the few local cars passing by had no problem with it. A good place for cycling.Translating
