Been here?
Small car park beside a pleasant canal, cycle path, and walking route, suitable for a short break or 1 or 2 nights. It can accommodate large motorhomes, including one 6.5m vehicle. The area is frequently used, with passing pedestrians, cyclists, cars, conversation, and music, and the centre is about 20 minutes away on foot.

Parking large enough for a large motorhome when reversing in. Good for visiting the Christmas market
Quiet place to park, a 20-minute walk from the city center. We did not sleep there; however, with the river on one side and the road on the other, it may be noisy for spending the night.
Arrived just after dark at the end of November on a Friday night. We were able to park our 6.5 m camper with the rear overhanging the curb. At first it felt unsafe because many cars came and went with people just sitting in their vehicles for hours, but because there was no other option we stayed. Glad we did, as it was quiet and peaceful from midnight onward. There were two campers for the night. Easy 20-minute walk to the Christmas market.
A very good location, even though it is next to the roundabout, one kilometer from the Christmas market. Space for a van or motorhome up to 6 m.
Small parking area accessible from a roundabout beside the canal and a cycle path. We were lucky to find a space because it is heavily used by cars. Perfect location for walking into the city center and visiting the Christmas market at this time of year. We spent the night peacefully.
Desolate. Drove on.
There is really a lot of activity in this parking area; cars arrive or leave every 30 minutes. It starts before sunrise and continues until late. It is okay just for sleeping and hiking the next day, but otherwise I would not recommend it. However, you can hike to Lac de Creuzet (I think that is how it is spelled) and camp there! Locals told me :)
