Arrival must be from 1:30 p.m., not before, because the staff handle cleaning of the mobile homes. The campsite is divided into two: one section for rentals and a large meadow, not very shaded, for pitches. Clean sanitary facilities, but no paper or soap. Road noise dies down at night. The lovely historic center is accessible on foot in 10 minutes. Snack bar on site.
Spent two nights here facilities are tired but functional, the welcome was "I don't really want to be here" but no rude. As stated there is road noise but not too bad but we were there at a weekend so might be more in weekday. 19.80€ with ACSI and taxes.
We spent two nights at this campsite, which is very well located and welcoming, close to the center of this lovely town.
The site scores points for its proximity to the pleasant town, its spacious grounds, and its beautiful meadow with many trees. The sanitary facilities work, but are dated, so they smell musty and are somewhat gloomy; Wi-Fi (€) is limited. Well suited for travelers passing through.
We come here often, but the sanitary facilities are very run-down.
Expensive campsite, €29.40. One van, two people, one dog, and electricity. Sanitary facilities need refreshing. Traffic noise. The plus is that the town center is close on foot.
Very large pitches, including some under the trees. Paid Wi-Fi. Excellent.
The site is beautifully located and the welcome was very friendly. The price of €25.80 for two people in a motorhome with electricity is steep considering the condition of the sanitary facilities, which are not only dated but should also be kept cleaner. However, the snack bar offers excellent value for money. We also had visits from the ducks, so overall a “good” rating.
For us, this was a pleasant campsite. A small town with shops is just around the corner, in beautiful natural surroundings. We had a spot by the river. Beautiful and peaceful. The sanitary facilities are old but okay. Campsite = 6, location = 10.
Site is a short walk from the town. The site is well kept and clean but the facilities are a bit dated. Right next to the river, so ducks etc. wander the site - lovely but watch out for duck poo! Route Nationale runs just the other side of the river so there's constant road noise, but site itself is peaceful. Would visit again
Good reception. Quiet campsite. Sanitary block outdated but clean. We would come back here.
Pleasant welcome, spacious pitches, but rather poorly delineated; clean sanitary facilities; beside the Loir, with numerous ducks leaving traces everywhere, so watch where you step. National Route 10 passes by the campsite, creating background noise during the day, but it is quieter at night.
Great campsite. Sanitary a bit older, but good in itself. Nice showers. Easily accessible with CampingCar. Very nice town of Vendôme nearby, with a piece of castle ruin at a height, nice climb. A river runs along the campsite and we saw another otter coming out of the water and wandering around. The road is fairly close but still far enough not to be bothered by the noise of the cars.
A little expensive: €21 without electricity for two adults and a dog, for a campsite with rather outdated sanitary facilities. The advantage is that Vendôme town center is right next door.
The campsite is very good.
Friendly welcome. The sanitary facilities are very old and not clean. €23 is too much for one night. The site is well located, about a 5-minute walk away.
Well located site a short walk from the town. Decent size pitches but not delimited. The site is well kept as are the facilities albeit a bit dated. Pitches on the far side of the site, away from the entrance could be noisy due to traffic noise from the highway.
Located almost in the heart of the town, beside the Loir in a tree-filled park. Ducks, a coypu, and a squirrel to greet you in the morning. Quite noisy, as National Route 10 passes right beside it. The sanitary facilities are so-so. The price was €22.90 with electricity. Enough for visiting the nicely decorated town and spending one night.
Beautiful, lovely, and very spacious pitches—we had a view of the river! Very friendly welcome! Large, well-maintained sanitary block. A five-minute walk takes you to the center of the enchanting town of Vendôme. Small but lovely shop with local products. Perfect for a stopover.
Very pleasant campsite beside the Loir if you get a pitch away from the national road. Very well located for visiting the lovely town of Vendôme on foot and very close to the excellent swimming complex. Convenient grocery shop. Adequate sanitary facilities. I would have given 5 stars if the welcome had been even a little warm.
It deserves 5 stars for its welcome, location, pitches, cleanliness, and facilities. The drawback is the road noise from passing trucks.
