Camping Valbonheur

Lovely little campsite, very well maintained outside the high season. But obviously in the heart of summer it must be crowded and have a very different atmosphere. In early September we really enjoyed it, with nothing to complain about: the view, the upkeep, and the peace and quiet. We also rented a paddleboard.✦Translating

Four stars because the price is high. High season 2025, July and August: van or motorhome, one night: €29 for one person, €6 for electricity, plus €4 per additional person over six years old, and €0.55 local tax per adult. However, three stars are deserved for the space between pitches, the view, access to the lake and river, and the numerous, clean sanitary facilities.✦Translating

We spent the July 14th weekend in an idyllic, peaceful, family-friendly place. Plenty of walks, and the lake is great for swimming. The welcome was friendly; I recommend this very well-maintained campsite.✦Translating

A campsite surrounded by mountains on the edge of a lake, in a magnificent setting. Swimming, children’s games, snack bar, racket and book loans, and bicycle rental. The pitches are well maintained and full of flowers. A major drawback, however, was the sporadic cleaning of the sanitary facilities during our holiday week, which caused unpleasant smells around them at times.✦Translating

A very beautiful place! The view of the mountains is spectacular, including while swimming in the lake. Excellent sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, there is incorrect pricing information here again. It is now high season: €33 for two people with a van, without electricity. Friendly welcome, very nice and well-maintained campsite, clean sanitary facilities. The only drawback for us and for other holidaymakers with pets is the €6 charge. It makes you think.✦Translating

A somewhat expensive campsite, well located near a pleasant little lake. What we did not like: the not-very-clean sanitary facilities with loud music, and the price. It must be nice for families with children because there are games and a beach. It is not the type of campsite we enjoy, but it should suit families. The restaurant near the lake is nice. A fabulous camping! Many people, but quiet at night. Spacious and clean. We had no booking, called in the morning and they found a place for us! I could have stayed longer indeed! Will keep it on my list for my othet trips when I pass by.

There were no spaces available on August 10th, with huge crowds at the campsite and the lake. The restaurant outside the campsite is quite good.✦Translating

Very well located. Flat pitches, either shaded or sunny. Very quiet night. Near a small lake with canoe and paddleboard rental. Beautiful hikes all around. Courageous cyclists can enjoy themselves here, as there are some beautiful climbs.✦Translating
