This is a large gravel parking lot directly at the Felsenmeer, with uneven ground and few level spaces. It is often crowded and noisy during the day, while overnight stays can be quiet. A 24-hour ticket costs 5 € for cars or 10 € for motorhomes, and camping is prohibited. Clean toilets cost 1 €.

The parking fee also finances the maintenance of the absolutely worthwhile rocky landscape. There are only 24-hour tickets: €5 for cars and €10 for motorhomes. Camping is forbidden, but who would put up an awning in a parking lot? We had a quiet night. Clean, high-tech toilets for €1.

I’m not taking a star off for the walk or the view, because it is magnificent and I recommend coming here. But fellow campers, be aware that the 24-hour parking fee is compulsory: €10 for a motorhome without services, plus €1 for the toilets. This is really excessive, but we did the magnificent and very strenuous trail anyway.
A normal parking lot, already quite full from 10:00 on a sunny Sunday. The lot is rather uneven, but level spaces can be found. Amenities include affordable, very clean toilets (the urinal is free) and a restaurant just around the corner. A highly recommended bakery is 10–15 minutes away on foot. Free of charge from November 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022.
There is a motorhome parking ticket for €10, but unfortunately there is also a sign saying camping is prohibited.
