This flat, peaceful spot beside the canal and basin offers quiet overnight stays, with occasional boats, cyclists, walkers and morning bird song. There is no shade and no service, while a nearby pump creates a background noise that remains bearable inside a closed camper. Homps is reachable on foot in 15 mn, but camping-cars must use the village-side dead end because the opposite bank is prohibited.

No shade on the pitch between the canal and the basin, but two peaceful nights from 14 July. Calm and serenity, with a few boats and cyclists passing on the path leading on foot to Homps (15 minutes). Beautiful, level and clean place!
Absolutely perfect, beside the canal.
Beautiful, quiet place; we spent a relaxing night there. There are hiking and cycling paths but no services. We woke early to birdsong :)
Quiet and idyllic! Walkers and hikers arrive in the morning, but nobody was disturbed.
The place could be perfect without the noise from the nearby pump. However, with the motorhome closed up, it is bearable for sleeping.
Excellent place for a stopover. We were two vans. Plenty of space along the canal. Be careful, it can be very windy. Very quiet night despite a slight background noise from the lake pump next door.
Quiet night. Level ground. Perfect for an overnight stop.
Easter weekend. I believe there are several places around this lake. We spent a peaceful night after walking around the lake, about 4.5 km. A few walkers in the morning.
Warning: GPS may direct you to the opposite bank, but motorhomes are prohibited there.

I’m going to use the Fastelach standard because I think it is practical: equipment/facilities (0/3), setting (2/3) and nighttime comfort (3/3). Additional comments: nice spot beside the canal and its small body of water.
