River viewpoint, steep busy access

Indeed, this is a roadside stop, busier than you might think. And be careful, it climbs very steeply to access it.

Construction work has been carried out and a viewpoint created, but there is space for 2 or 3 motorhomes. Excellent views over the Douro and Peso da Régua. Although it is close to the road, there is no traffic at night, so it is peaceful. There is no sign prohibiting overnight stays. Very nearby is the village of Samodões, where the Porto Wine Route Trail PR2 begins.

We spent the night here because we found nothing else. We will overlook the litter on the ground and the barking dogs. There is not much traffic at night. What we will remember is the magnificent view. The space is not very large, maximum two 7.4 m motorhomes.

Wonderful view! Roadside but little traffic at the end of June! We were alone and peaceful. A little litter, however.

Beautiful place, amazing view. No trouble from the motorway, but the dogs bark a lot, at night too. In fact, dogs bark all over Portugal; a dog-training course in Portugal would not be a bad idea.

Despite the great view, this is not surrounded by nature. A connection road in front with lots of traffic 5m from the spots. I suggest you to come here to spend some minutes and find another place to stay.

Nice sleeping and sun rising, followed by breakfast with a wonderful wide and expansive view! To repeat next year, even if the weather is not as good as this morning.

Great view, can confirm. Sandy and windy yes but not too crazy. Is good for a quick night ?

A little windy and sandy, but a great view. Little traffic.

A balcony... Perfect... an unobstructed and magnificent view... Sometimes strong gusts of wind, but it passes. Possible for 2 motorhomes, maximum 7.40 m, perpendicular to the road without obstructing it.
