Waterside parking, mosquitoes

Great even in rainy weather. However, there are many passing cyclists and hikers. The rowing club is right next door and parks in the car park on Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.✦Translating

Too many mosquitos. We hardly slept and spent all night chasing and killing them. We are both covered in bites. Our van has mosquito nets on all windows. Impossible to enjoy the place.

One of the best places where we have stayed in the Netherlands. We spent two nights here without any problem. A rubbish bin is available. A few cyclists, runners and boats pass during the day, but it is absolutely not disturbing. We were alone in the parking area most of the time. We really enjoyed the small terrace on the canal, which adds charm to this incredible place.✦Translating

Lovely, very quiet place next to a water sports club, with views of the canals. Recommended for a good night's sleep. No facilities. We stopped on a Monday.✦Translating

Many locals come to park in the evening to go for walks. There are even young people who pass by not on scooters, but in motorboats, to go around and have fun. At nightfall everything becomes quiet. We spent one night here without any problems, with a lovely bike ride to the nearby town of Medemblik.✦Translating

We stayed here for two nights. An especially beautiful spot by the water, next to a rowing club boathouse. There is also a fishing spot and a boat ramp.✦Translating
