Steep riverside parking, no services

Excellent location opposite the beach but sadly campers have now been relocated- now parking is on very slopey area so not possible without blocks & no late arrivals!

Great parking area, but it fills up quickly.

Parking for vans right next to the motorhome parking area, limited to 2.10 m. No problem spending the night there.

Definitely an awful place; parking properly is impossible because of the excessive slope. The administration has clearly put the campers here as an afterthought, even removing the services. A place to avoid.

The area used to be along the road, on the car-park side; it was flat. Now the parking area has a significant slope, and large leveling blocks are essential. However, it is very close to the beach, which is good.

Good location for one or two nights, just steps from the beach. No facilities for motorhomes, only the spot itself. Acceptable.

Of course you need leveling blocks, but the spot is really perfect for a fairly quiet night despite the Fête de la Musique. Cross the road and you are directly on the beach. Pure bliss. Thank you to the municipality.

Unfortunately, you have to deduct two stars because of the pronounced slope; even the leveling blocks are barely enough, and there is disturbance from cars in the adjacent car park. Not a good atmosphere.

Pleasant motorhome area, with a car park next door where we slept in our small van overlooking the sea. Coastal path right beside it. Clean toilets with paper, water, and soap on the other side of the road. Water apparently temporarily unavailable.

Quiet place to spend a night. Bring leveling blocks, as it is a little sloped. Parking possible with a 7.20 m vehicle. Thanks to the municipality.

A sad display of users’ incivility, especially car drivers. The bins are full, but people keep leaving their bags. Crows and magpies open the bags early in the morning and the wind does the rest. What a shame, because the parking areas are very convenient for enjoying the coastal path and beaches.

Waste-water dump and drain no longer working. However, there are public toilets nearby if needed. The ground is uneven, so the vehicle must be leveled carefully. Very nice view; you can see a bit of the sea. The sea is close enough to walk to. The spot smells of urine. Few spaces for large vehicles. Less traffic than elsewhere, so very pleasant for sleeping.

Good spot, fairly quiet overall. Its little plus is that it is FREE and only three minutes from the beach! Be careful: you need to arrive early or there will be no space, as it is rather small. The services do not work; to fill up with water, you have to go elsewhere!

Absolutely fantastic free spot to camp! 2 minute walk to the beach, free toilets near there too. Lots of spaces and plenty of other campers here for the night. Read the reviews and wanted to see for ourselves, glad we did as such a lovely spot and beach.

ST NAZAIRE clearly no longer wants motorhomes! The only official parking area is disappearing. The only option now is to try to find a tiny sloping space around the service point—no more water or electricity. On the other hand, squatters occupy the site permanently. So good luck if you planned to stay or sleep there!

Hello to those who knew the site before. Now, day or night, the ground is very steep. At present there are only motorhomes and abandoned caravans. It is because of these people that we no longer have the beautiful spaces. What a shame. This is my last weekend here, then I am done. Too bad—what is the town hall doing about these abandoned motorhomes? Thanks.

Avoid it: sloping, with caravans. For us, it was a complete failure. Thanks, municipality!!!!

We turned around. The place was occupied by squatters with caravans and vans.

The parking area has been modified: parking is on a slope, but it is free and close to the sea.

Water point currently out of order; grey-water disposal possible. It is sloped but manageable. We slept very well, rocked by strong gusts of wind. In any case, thanks to the municipality for the beach and seaside walks; we will return.

Few spaces and sloping pitches. Only suitable for lunch.

It is a shame that parking is not limited. What is the police doing?

The original motorhome site has become a car park with a height barrier. Emptying and filling facilities do not work; they are completely taped off. The spaces are now sloped above the service point. This is probably the end for motorhomes.

Very uneven motorhome area. No services, or almost none. An area that will eventually disappear in favor of car tourists, probably more profitable than motorhomes.

It deserves credit for existing. The water point is shut down, and the space is rather sloped. No long-term motorhomes or caravans were occupying the spaces today. Close to the beach and hiking trails.

Free area, close to the beach, quiet. It is a shame that some people take over all the space. Arriving at 7 p.m., I managed to park.

I would rather give no stars at all. This site is a disgrace for the municipality, where many villas line the roads. It is so steep, slanted, and uneven that no leveling blocks, however high, can help. There are also large stones in between. Nevertheless, there are long-term occupants who like to take up two spaces because their trailer needs its own place. The service terminal was taped off. Next door there is a large car park with a height barrier. Motorhomes are not wanted—we drove away again.

The motorhome site has been reduced, and the sandy, rocky surface is very steep. Even high leveling blocks were not enough to stand level. Waste disposal was possible. The road to the beach is across the street. A hiking trail around the rocks offers beautiful views.

The area has just been moved above the waste-disposal space. The slope is so steep that the leveling jacks cannot compensate for it; pots slide off the gas stove! In addition, the service point is broken: no water, not even for rinsing the cassette. On the other hand, the location is fabulous, with views of Île des Evens, a sandy beach with lifeguards, and a coastal path.

It is true: we are here for one night and there is no electricity or water. It is a shame. It is really only a place to spend the night; afterwards it is not great. There is a beautiful coastal walk and the beach is 50 meters away.
