This is a central parking area in Brochterbeck, suitable as a base for cycling and hiking in the surrounding hills and flat countryside. The spaces are not level, and restaurants are next door with a supermarket within walking distance. Church bells sound every hour and half-hour, sometimes for around 10 minutes, while nights are otherwise generally quiet. There are no listed services, and visitors must take their rubbish with them.

Very pleasant place! The parking spaces are not level. Restaurants right next door, supermarket within walking distance, and a beautiful area for walking and cycling. Church bells every hour and half-hour—not annoying—but sometimes they ring for about ten minutes, which could wake you up. They did not wake me.
The place was very nice, quiet, and clean. Almost no environmental noise, just the church bells. We stayed here for one night.

When we arrived, the place was very full and we had to wait until a space became available. The next day it was full again because of a funeral. The site is in a residential area. Please behave considerately so the place remains accessible for motorhomes. Church bells can be heard.

Nice, quiet place in the middle of town. Various cycling and hiking tours are easily possible from here. Absolutely quiet at night. The pizzeria is beautifully located but expensive for the quality, though it has a view of the mill pond. The staff at Alten Franz were only moderately friendly. Food was expensive but okay. Be careful: prices are higher than on the menu and Visa is not accepted. Do not expect too much.
