Friendly welcome, but that was about it. Little shade, and access to the swimming area is not directly from the campsite. Poor mobile reception and useless Wi-Fi. I also do not think it is right to charge an additional €3 for a token to fill my water tank with 50 litres when the price is already over €40!

Well-located campsite for cycling around the lake, with access via a footbridge to Giffaumont and its tourist centre. Positives include an indoor pool and bread and pastries that can be ordered the day before for the morning. The sanitary facilities are dilapidated, with lots of cobwebs. However, it is far from shops, so remember to stock up beforehand.

Beautiful campsite, and the person in charge at reception is very kind. Be sure to order your bread or pastries the day before! Also beware of the many mosquitoes!

Good, well-located campsite with a pool and beach on the lake right next door. Pitches are fairly spacious. A cycle path around the lake starts right next to the campsite. There is also a good little restaurant with a view of the lake.

I would not return; avoid it if you are looking for peace and quiet. This is no longer just space optimization—the smallest square metre is used. We felt as if we had been placed in a mobile-home parking lot. The sanitary facilities are not very clean. The only positive points are the pool, electricity at every pitch, and access to the lake.

Top campsite, ideally located for cycling around the 35-km lake and following the 70-km circuit of 16th-century wooden churches. Nice restaurant with a terrace and a magnificent sunset view. Large, clearly marked pitches and a great welcome. Nearby ice-cream shops and restaurants, accessed via the 500-metre footbridge. I recommend Le Bourricot beer bar and its beer wall.

Large campsite beside the lake. The motorhome pitches are quite large, half grass and half small stones, bordered by bushes and a barrier. Advantages: close to the very clean sanitary block, with hot water; the pool is excellent. Reasonable price, electrical hookup and water at every pitch. Grocery shop and decent restaurant with a lake view. The campsite is well landscaped and full of flowers. Remember to book!

Not going back: €40 for cold showers and noise until midnight, then woken at 3 a.m. by many workers staying at the campsite who have no respect for others.

Well located for discovering Lake Der by bicycle, canoe, paddleboard, or pedal boat. Restaurant on the campsite and a grocery shop where you can order bread from 8 a.m. Clean sanitary facilities, though there may be slightly too few for the number of residents. Evening entertainment, a night market on Wednesday evening, a heated indoor pool, and outdoor water games for children. Motorhome pitch suitable for staying 3–4 days and exploring the lake. Water on the pitch and electricity available.

Perfect campsite in a magnificent setting! Welcome, services, bar, restaurant—everything is excellent. Beautiful, large, clean pitches, some of them nicely shaded. Beach and water activities just a few steps away ;) A footbridge provides access, in 15–20 minutes on foot, to the tourist centre with an arcade, casino, bars, and more. Lake show in summer ;). We will gladly return.

At the start of the season, the campsite was quite full with vans and motorhomes. Rather peaceful, beside the lake, with many hiking and cycling routes. Small pool, one boules court, one table-tennis table, and a small grocery shop without fresh produce. Probably too limited in high season and not worthy of five stars.

Very warm welcome, heated indoor pool, and beautiful motorhome pitches. The low-season rates, from mid-September in Haute-Marne, deserve to be reduced.

Campsite with too little space for motorhomes. No black-water disposal, and the Flot Bleu service point charges extra for filling with water. Very expensive for the quality of the services, especially in the low season. Shared sinks in small sanitary facilities, which are otherwise modern and clean. Beautiful view of the lake.

Avoid this place: the disabled shower is slippery, brush-cutting work sent stones flying onto the motorhome, the site closes at 10:30 p.m., vehicles are parked along the street and crammed together, it is too noisy and too close to the entertainment tent, which runs until midnight. The grocery shop is extremely expensive, and the pool is impossible to use because it is too crowded, with no loungers available.

Very good welcome, very clean and well-organized campsite. Next to the footbridge. Small heated indoor pool. Worth visiting.

Very beautiful campsite in a pleasant setting, with friendly staff. It is a shame that the owner is so unpleasant; she should stay at home and let her staff do the work.

Very well located on the peninsula, with an idyllic setting. Very warm welcome and well-equipped communal facilities. I recommend it.

Quiet and well located, with everything you need. The only criticism is the showers. Washing your hair is impossible because the water pressure is too low. The temperature is either far too hot or ice cold.

Not recommended for anyone looking for a green setting. Pitches are beside the road on gravel. Dirty sanitary facilities.

Parking-style pitch, not great; sanitary facilities just adequate; average welcome. The price does not match the service. We did not use the pool. The major plus is access to the lake.

Campsite not recommended for motorhomes: only a few decent pitches, otherwise you are wedged between mobile homes. Water disposal is charged. Very expensive—€39.40 for two motorhomes, although it is true that we were there in July. The five-star rating is far from justified.
