Quiet campsite directly on the Dordogne river with large shaded pitches and warm, friendly welcome. Swim in the cold river or seasonal pool. Clean, simple facilities with wifi at some pitches and washing machine available. Located ~3km from Argentat centre. Choose pitches 1–3 for rapids views or 8–22 for shade. Highly recommended.

A lovely overnight stop at this peaceful campsite on the banks of the Dordogne, with spacious pitches. The bonus is the swimming pool overlooking the large traditional house.
Friendly operators. Great shady pitches right on the Dordogne (our salvation in 40-degree heat). Swimming in the river (even in the rapids) and in the pool. Basic but clean sanitary facilities. About 3 km from the center of Argentat. Ask the operator about using the washing machine. Bring your own detergent.
Great campsite where we were able to recharge our batteries in a short time. I recommend it!
We spent two excellent nights beside this magnificent, wonderfully refreshing Dordogne during the heatwave (even a little too refreshing, as the water is very cold and you cannot stay in for more than two minutes!). Shady pitches, clean facilities, and a warm, smiling welcome. Everything was perfect!
A quiet, pleasant site on the Dordogne. It is a good ten-minute bike ride into town. We were right beside the rapids, and the Dordogne sang us to sleep. Clean and well maintained.
We were looking for a campsite with a pitch directly on the Dordogne and Wi-Fi at the pitch. We stayed on pitch 2. The sanitary facilities are basic but very clean. Toilet paper provided. The shower temperature cannot be adjusted, but it is pleasantly warm. The operator is a real character, very nice and practical, with an uncomplicated, informal approach. We were very happy here.
A wonderful site on the Dordogne. Highly recommended. Pitches 1 to 3 are directly beside the rapids with a view of the river. As the canoe rental at the site was not open yet, we rented one in Argentat from ADCK. Very friendly and helpful, and they speak German.
Five well-deserved stars, a very warm welcome, and you can choose your pitch. Many superb pitches that could dethrone the famous number 5 (number 1 with its view of the waterfall and river, but also numbers 8 to 22, beside the water, shaded by trees, with direct access to the Dordogne). Very clean facilities and lovely hot water. Highly recommended!
Great welcome beside the river. Simple, efficient, and very clean.
A stopover in mid-August on the way back from the Landes! Peaceful, welcoming, with the river nearby. Shady and spacious pitch!
A very pleasant stopover. Large spaces on lovely grass. The Dordogne as a background soundtrack. And the baker at 8 a.m. to enhance breakfast. Five well-deserved stars.
Wonderful campsite, run by two lovely brothers. Everything is perfect; I highly recommend it. I recommend pitch number 5, beside the Dordogne and level—pure happiness.
A gem, especially in the off-season. We stayed directly beside the Malpas rapids and recovered very well. Our planned three days became seven, partly because we had car trouble. The operators were very helpful in this situation—many thanks. There is an excellent baker in town; a bicycle is useful for getting to Argentat. We would happily come back.
Uncomplicated owners of this campsite directly beside the Dordogne.
Incredible campsite! We stopped for one night in April. The setting is exceptional, with beautiful shady pitches overlooking the Dordogne. The birds singing when you wake up and the sound of the river are truly magical. The owners are very welcoming and full of anecdotes about their family campsite, the region, and places to visit. Highly recommended!
Anyone looking for peace and quiet will find it here. A splendid site directly on the Dordogne—we were almost the only guests here in early April, with free choice of pitch. Everything is uncomplicated. The two brothers who run the site are always cheerful and greet you with a friendly smile. On arrival, they simply say, “Choose a pitch—we’ll sort out the rest later.” That is how it should be. We would happily return!
A paradise—we planned to stay one night but stayed four. Pitches 2 to 6 are for small motorhomes, directly beside the Malpas rapids slightly upstream. It is about 2.5 km to Argentat by bicycle on a small country road. There is an Intermarché there with public washing machines and dryers, plus a petrol station. The campsite is spotless and the sanitary facilities are clean, as already described.
We were supposed to spend one night but stayed four days. A deeply human campsite. Incredible setting—we were literally standing in the Dordogne.
Wonderful welcome. Large, shady pitches beside the Dordogne. I recommend this campsite.
Wonderful welcome; you can tour the site and choose your pitch. We were lucky to find the gem of a pitch, number 5, with an unbeatable view of the river and the Malpas. Peaceful, with clean showers and sanitary facilities. Level pitch. Quiet swimming pool, or there is the slightly cooler river—but what a setting! Excellent canoe rental for the day. We will come back. Many thanks.
An exceptionally warm welcome. The pitch was absolutely fantastic, with a view of the waterfall. The facilities may look old-fashioned, but they suit the setting and, above all, are clean. Good water pressure, water at the right temperature, and toilet paper provided. It is quiet and relaxing. We have added it to our favorites and will gladly return.
An ideal spot for van travelers. Level parking with electricity. Very well-maintained campsite with a friendly welcome. The highlight is the scenery: the Dordogne and its wild atmosphere are right below the campsite, where you can set off on a canoe trip.
