Been here?
Friendly, quiet campsite 600 meters from the beach, with a small supermarket open every day and a nearby bus connection to Plentzia and Bilbao. Summer availability can be tight, and pitches are mostly unmarked, sometimes close together or slightly sloping. Toilets and showers are old but clean, although recent reports mention missing toilet paper and soap. A recent price was 37€ for 2 people in a van with electricity; checkout is at 12pm, or a half-day charge applies.

Very friendly welcome in French. Unmarked pitches, all in one large area without shade. Sanitary facilities are a little far away and somewhat dated.Translating
We found a shady place despite the campsite being very full. Friendly welcome. Beautiful beach next door. Advice for July/August: go there before 4 p.m. to have a chance of finding a place in the "backpackers" area.Translating
We got a pitch immediately without a reservation. Super friendly and close to the sea. Ideal for small children, with no waves.Translating
An excellent welcome. Without a reservation, we were shown a nice spot. We stayed for two nights. Lovely beach 600 m from the campsite, and it was quiet. There is a nearby bus stop taking you to Plentzia, from where you can take the metro towards Bilbao. The toilets and showers are, as mentioned several times, very outdated but usable.Translating
Nice little campsite 600 meters from the beach, with washing machines and showers. The old-fashioned owner was there to make a small repair to my awning rod. Very pleasant and quiet campsite.Translating
Campsite with very outdated facilities, but nevertheless very clean. Halfway between Bilbao and Gaztelugatxe, about 20 km from each. Overall comfortable and quiet despite being crowded. Excellent welcome.Translating
Unfortunately, there is not much choice in this area. Beautiful surroundings; walk left past the sports fields through the park and you reach the wonderful beach. The location is perfect. Take bus 3499 to Plentzia and then the metro to Bilbao. Lovely city. The chaotic Spanish man gave us a warm welcome. The pitches are a bit tight, but that is not a problem. The sanitary facilities really need replacing, hence three stars.Translating
The campsite was already quite full on July 8. We found a slightly sloping pitch. Reception could not be reached by phone during the day, but they were welcoming when we arrived. €37 for two people in a van with electricity. A little expensive for the service.Translating
Simple campsite, friendly staff, old but clean sanitary facilities. Pitches are assigned; there are sunny and shady pitches, a small supermarket, and the town and beach are nearby.Translating
I loved this varied and welcoming campsite, with children, young people, older people, motorcyclists and cyclists. Warm atmosphere, ocean very close, magnificent park and pretty village.Translating
The atmosphere is pleasant. The pitches are too close together and some are very far from the electricity. 6 A of power. Clean bathrooms, but no toilet paper or soap. Departure is at 12 p.m., otherwise an additional half-day is charged. If it weren't for the bathrooms, I would have given more stars.Translating
We did not stay here. Our first impression of the surroundings was disappointing, and everyone on the campsite was standing extremely close together with little privacy. We drove on. The welcome was friendly, though.Translating
22,66, 2 people, 1 van, no electricity. Could pick our own spot, friendly people at reception, very big shop with everything you might need, restaurant/cafe on site. Not far from beach and beach town. Good location. Sanitaries a bit old and rundown but okay cleanish. Busy campsite and spaces are not so level.
Pleasant campsite, with decent pitches, €25.30 without electricity. Everything is fine except for one small drawback: no Wi-Fi, which is a shame.Translating
Great campsite; we will return. Greetings to Javier. The Martinica.Translating
We stayed spontaneously for two nights at the end of May. The owner immediately showed us or assigned us a pitch. Everything was uncomplicated. The sanitary facilities are getting old but clean. Bring your own toilet paper. There is really hot water for washing dishes. One star deducted because of the outdated toilets and showers.Translating
Great site, shade, sanitary facilities in good condition and clean. Excellent connection to Bilbao; you can walk to the metro. Special thanks to Olga. Great beach, with nice small bars nearby.Translating
What a great site! Very friendly, great facilities, yes, maybe a little old but very clean. Easy walk to massive beach, a walk or bus ride to Plentzia to get Metro into centre of Bilbao. Plentzia is worth a visit, lovely little bars in square near old church. Shade on campsite appreciated in 35°.
Simple campsite. Friendly welcome. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. Ideal for a stopover and visiting Bilbao by metro. We did not try the restaurant.Translating
Very nice staff. Sanitary facilities are old and basic. Toilet paper is available free of charge in the supermarket.Translating
Lovely campsite with some balcony-style pitches. Minimarket directly on site and a sports facility next door. Ten minutes on foot to the beach. Toilets and showers are old but fairly clean. Payment was straightforward.Translating
Super campsite with friendly employees and beautiful pitches. Equipped with every convenience: supermarket, restaurant, hot showers, clean sanitary facilities, and close to a recreation park and the sea. There is also a beautiful hike from the coast through the mountains. I would definitely come back here!Translating
Quiet campsite with a rural feel. Adequate sanitary facilities. A lovely stopover.
This camping is nice and spacious, the reception was pretty kind. it is already a bit old, but everything was clean and the water was warm. it seems that some people live permanently there.
very nice receptionists, we were told that the reception is open until 20:30 which is great for campings. the price is great, the location is very good, calm, quiet place. the only small downsize is that the bathrooms are not heated, there was no toilet paper and there are some insects like centipedes. but i would recomende and come back if around there again
Wonderful campsite in Gorliz. Located just a few minutes from the beach, next to a beautiful forest and very close to Plentzia, a charming town. The campsite staff are very friendly and all the facilities work perfectly. Clean bathrooms and spacious pitches. I stayed a few days ago and was able to park my camper in the lower section, close to everything: showers, supermarket and café. Many thanks.
Beautiful campsite with many amenities: bar, restaurant and shop. Very friendly welcome. The pitches near the entrance are level; further uphill there are also beautiful, spacious pitches, but they are sloping. The campsite is close to a small town with nice restaurants and the Atlantic Ocean, reachable via a beautiful park. There are also lovely paths for cyclists.
Very nice campsite with everything you need. Clean showers, toilets and washing-up area. There is a small shop on site for morning baguettes and other basics. The path to the beach is about 1.5 km through a beautiful park. Nearby there is also a very well-maintained sports field for all kinds of sports. We recommend it and would be happy to return.
Very pleasant welcome from a kind man who showed us around the campsite so we could choose our pitch. Located 5 minutes from the superb Gorliz beach, and a 20-minute walk from the metro, which runs to Bilbao every 20 minutes and takes 40 minutes. We stayed 2 nights: 1 van, 2 people and electricity, €30.60 per day. Four stars for the old-fashioned but clean sanitary facilities, and six stars for the genuinely friendly welcome. Slightly sloping grassy pitch.
Friendly welcome, shaded pitches. Very cramped showers; only go with your own shower gel and towel. The makeshift brasserie is more of a snack bar than a restaurant, but friendly. Three nights in a van without electricity, one person: €58.60. Easy access to Bilbao via the bus at the campsite entrance and the metro.
