Peaceful riverside area, arrival noise

Motorhome area near the campsite entrance. You are not allowed to enter the campsite to eat pizza. The municipality is not very friendly. There is a lot of construction in the city, making the area difficult to find—a real headache. I will not return.

No staff, but very easy to book. The pitch is very quiet yet central. Well surfaced and flat, with spaces large enough.

Good for a night with really easy access to Metz which is lovely. We got the last spot and it was really tight, we could barely open our door. The bigger spaces were taken up by smaller vans as it’s first come first serve. You also pay before entering so if it’s the last one you have no choice. But very quiet, next to a lake and near a park.

Great spot right on the river and close to the centre. We stayed on a roasting hot night and managed to get a space with some shade from the trees. Our view of the river was superb! When arriving, make sure you wait for both tickets so you have the code to leave! Some were having issues with that!

Wonderful place right in the city. There is nothing better for visiting the city. At the entrance there is a machine in all languages, very easy to use.

Excellent location for visiting the city! We spent €20 for the pitch, electricity and two adults, including the tourist tax. We did not need to fill up; black- and grey-water disposal is free. A little noisy at the entrance because entry is possible at any time, and the automatic machine for entering the motorhome area, although very functional, is somewhat too loud.

We had planned to stay at the campsite, but it was full. We used the motorhome area next door instead. It is indeed well located for visiting Metz, but €14 for a pitch without electricity or water, which cost extra, and without toilets is expensive.

Very good location, beautifully situated on the Moselle, 15 minutes from the cathedral. But beware: two motorhomes were broken into and robbed last night. The occupants woke up and drove the thieves away.

We originally wanted to stay at the campsite, but it was full, and planned to stay only one night. We stayed five nights. We were at the back right, in the shade, with space beside the motorhome. Quiet nights directly by the river. Great location for the city and the Voie Bleue cycle path; we found the route south more beautiful. A very nice restaurant, Le Saint Marcel-Bistro Tradi, is within walking distance. The Centre Pompidou museum was excellent.

Excellent motorhome area for self-sufficient campers. €17 base price. Electricity and water cost extra. There is a waste container and facilities for emptying water and toilets. Beautifully located by a park for walking the dog and right in the centre. The adjacent campsite costs €30, so you have a choice. When paying, make sure you copy the code because it is not on the payment receipt. It is on a separate receipt or displayed on the screen.

Nice spot easy to find but in our opinion you may as well stay in the campsite next door as this site by the time you add everything on is expensive. If the campsite is full I would stay here as it’s a great location on the river bank and walking distance to town. It does get busy here but quiet and safe

Entrance somewhat narrow, and operating the barrier is unnecessarily complicated, but otherwise everything is fine.

The site is ideal for visiting Metz. The cathedral and old town are only a few minutes away on foot. Access, payment and service facilities worked without problems. However, the pitch costs €20 without electricity, and fresh water costs another €3. Sixteen spaces were free at midday, but by 8 p.m. everything was full, on a weekday outside the holidays.

Good place directly by the river. Unfortunately, everything was full when we arrived. Late in the evening we got a place at the neighbouring campsite instead. Very friendly.

Stayed the night of 8/5/26. All good. The price covers 24 hours from arrival. Pleasant city. The site is a little difficult to find and not well signposted.

We liked it here very much. The site has a barrier system. It is easy to book a pitch at the machine. It was very quiet at night. Metz is definitely worth a visit.

What a beautiful little spot this is. We are here for the second time. The spaces are tight, but not excessively so. Supermarket and fresh bakery 200 metres away. Beautiful city centre within walking distance. Lovely place on the Moselle. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely overnight place. Close to the city, yet you still feel as if you are in peaceful surroundings. Beautifully located beside the river. Definitely worth an overnight stay.

Centrally located motorhome area for visiting Metz or travelling south or north. The spaces are narrow when full, but completely adequate for one night. Entry and exit via self-check-in/check-out.

Apart from its location, this is very expensive; it is better to go to the campsite next door.

A beautiful location and very convenient for visiting Metz. Everything we needed was provided. There is a lovely bakery nearby. The cathedral and its stained glass windows and the Pompidou make Metz a town worth visiting. We’ll be back.

It deserves no more than three stars because of its location. Otherwise, it is a rather sloping car park where nothing is included in the price and everything costs extra. €2 for 10 minutes of water and, most prohibitively, €3 for 8 hours of electricity, or €9 for 24 hours—something I have never seen before. Metz is also not a very welcoming or well-maintained city, especially on a Sunday.

Finally lucky enough to get a space; two years ago we drove here for nothing. The location is excellent for exploring the city on foot. Everything was available and working. Thanks to the city of Metz for the good site.

A lovely place directly in the city for travelling south or north. Fresh water is currently unavailable, so bring your own supply. You should also not arrive too late. We arrived at about 7:30 p.m. and got the last space.

Very nice site. It was very good for my 8-metre motorhome. Also very suitable for vehicles up to 10 metres.

Very well located for visiting the attractive old town. We were there with our 6.40-metre camper. Larger motorhomes are probably unsuitable. Grey-water disposal was straightforward; cleaning the toilet was more difficult because the water was out of service. Beautiful location directly on the Moselle.

Very conveniently located for sightseeing. Completely quiet and we slept well. Fresh water was still closed due to winter. The price was reasonable; I would definitely return.

Yes, it is tight, but close to the beautiful city centre. Disposal facilities and electricity for €3. Fresh water is currently unavailable. Waste disposal is possible. We paid €20 for two adults plus electricity. We had no problems with our 6.80-metre vehicle.

Ideal, practical place for visiting Metz. The barrier opened after several attempts. Otherwise everything worked, including electricity and water. Fine for one night, especially when every second space is empty.

Beautifully located on the Moselle, with the cathedral and all sights within walking distance. The pitches are only parking-space size and very sloped toward the Moselle. It looks neglected, and fresh water is currently out of service. Overall it is acceptable mainly because of the location. If the neighbouring campsite is open, especially if you want to stay more than one night, go to the campsite instead.

No card payment possible in February 2026; the site was completely empty. A shame—no dinner, refuelling or shopping in Metz possible, saving €200.

We stayed here for a weekend. The front spaces are uneven. The rear area is less sloped, but levelling wedges are needed. Everything was fine for us. An overnight stay without electricity cost €17.32. Very good and quiet location for the city. We will return.
