Parking on the side, no problem at 10:30.
A solid solution for smaller vans visiting the city.
We managed to park the motorhome in the parallel parking spaces and walk to the centre from there. The area was full, with motorhomes that seemed to be living there—awful. Difficult to visit the villages like this!
We are parked in a roadside car park because the motorhome area was full after searching, and from here the village is far away with no pedestrian access, so it is terrible for visiting Lekeitio. Yesterday we missed visiting Getaria, today Lekeitio—a total disappointment with how unwelcome we are in certain Basque villages.
I also agree with this comment: Many limitations throughout the village. We have a van over 5 metres long and over 2.5 metres high, so it was impossible to park in any of the car parks. The police forced us out of a bus parking area next to this one. It was almost empty. We were going to eat. Many empty spaces for cars and almost none for us.
