111 Montée des Troenes, 42680, Saint-Marcellin-en-Forez
Been here?
This wooded riverside spot has flat ground, shade and a small stream, but the surroundings are not consistently quiet. Quad bikes and motorcycles pass by, and the road above is audible; the site is also close to a motorway. Access crosses a narrow bridge, making it difficult for motorhomes over 6m long. It can accommodate around 2 or 3 motorhomes.

The access road crosses a narrow bridge. Difficult for motorhomes over 6 metres long.
Great shady spot by the water. Too bad about the quad bikes and motorbikes passing by; the road above means it is not actually quiet.
We wanted to have breakfast in a lovely spot. It is charming, admittedly, but next to the motorway, and the parking area feels more like a hangout for squatters.
Great shady and quiet spot with little traffic.
The place is nothing special: a large parking area in full sun! We were looking for a shady picnic spot, which we found on the other side of the bridge beside the cornfield.
Indeed, a flat, tree-lined place beside the river. Unfortunately, it is too close to the road to be truly quiet.
