Via Toma G., 73040, Santa Maria di Leuca
Been here?
Free panoramic parking overlooking the sea and lighthouse, suitable for visiting Santa Maria di Leuca and watching sunrise or sunset. Recent comments describe peaceful overnight stays, sea views and enough space for larger motorhomes, although the area can be windy and busy with people until late evening. There are no services, and the toilet has been reported in disgusting condition. Larger motorhomes should avoid the town centre because of narrow streets.

Excellent view, no services, quiet area.Translating
Perfect free place to watch the sunset together with many locals. Half an hour later everyone is gone. Quiet night. I was there with three other campers.Translating
Top spot with an unbeatable view!Translating
Don’t go through the center of the town Santa Maria de Leuca, very narrow streets for bigger motorohomes! Unfortunately we missed the sunset, since it is dark at 17:00h in december.
Parking on the street, not really pleasant for overnight stays.Translating
We stayed on the south side, where only the easternmost spot is level. Most campers were on the west side. Beautiful view of the sea and town. From here, it is easy to walk into town along the boulevard, and via the wooden boardwalk and stairs you can climb to the lighthouse for a beautiful view of the town. Too bad about the motorcycles speeding past. There is actually quite a lot of traffic.Translating
Free panoramic spot, also suitable for large campers. Visit Punta Ristola, the heel of Italy and the southernmost point of all Puglia. Tonight there were eight campers parked without any problems.Translating
Worked well for one night!Translating
We’ve spent there a night. It was really nice, but little more windy. There were another 4 autocaravans with us, but there is a lots of space. There is even smart toilet, but was in discusting condition. Maybe next time will be better. The view is stuning.
We stayed for one night in this wonderful seaside parking area. In the morning, there is a spectacular sunrise. Quiet and peaceful place. Highly recommended.Translating
Parking spaces in a row where many people pass until late evening, with no privacy. The little train operator complains that campers obstruct the view for his tour. Do not park on the bend, as you risk being insulted. The access road to the beach below is right next to it but is very dangerous, and we spent the day in the emergency room.Translating
Good place to visit the city and spend the night; there is movement till 22h or 23h.
We spent a very peaceful night. Great for sleeping.Translating
We parked for one night and one day in a camper van; nobody paid any attention to us, just an ordinary place on the street. Before noon and after 9:30 p.m. it is easy to find a space; in the evening, almost everything is occupied. An occasionally noisy motorcycle passed by. The town center is 1.3 km away. During the day, you can sunbathe below; access to the water is possible, but you must wear shoes and be careful.Translating
Wonderful, quiet, breezy place to spend both the day and the night. I recommend eating a sandwich at the Punta Ristola kiosk while watching the sunset. We easily reached the center by bicycle, as it is all downhill; there is only one steep section on the way back, but otherwise it is manageable. Truly excellent!Translating
