Been here?
Allstaforsens Camping is a small, natural campsite directly beside the Ljungan River, with beautiful rapids, river views, walking trails, and fire places. The atmosphere is quiet, and the sound of rushing water is prominent. Basic facilities include showers, toilets, a kitchen, and dry toilets, but standards are older and recent reports describe some bathrooms as dirty or poorly maintained. The location is especially suited to fishing, nature, and scenic stays.

We were there on July 23. An enchanting place immersed in nature! The lady who welcomed us was exceptionally kind! Highly recommended.Translating
A very beautiful place in the middle of nature. For all the complainers: the pitch is in the middle of nature. A sewage system is not possible here. We extended our stay by one night. The sound and view of the whitewater so close to the pitch are unique. We will gladly return.Translating
Beautiful place. Lovely view. However, there is one men’s and one women’s shower in an unusual condition. Two unisex toilets. The toilet is a kind of chemical toilet—meaning a hole in the ground with chemicals. Today, however, so much chlorine had been used that you had to hold your breath. A nice lady manages it, but the facilities could use an update.Translating
Unfortunately, we did not read the reviews carefully: for 300 SEK, there are two smelly pit toilets and one grimy bathroom per gender, without electricity. The white motorhomes with lapdogs are parked tightly together; in the evening, the fences are opened for walking the dogs around the site. A shame, because the site itself is nicely designed and offers a wonderful view of the river.Translating
A wonderful little campsite! The owner is incredibly nice, and the surroundings and location are fantastic. We stayed for two nights, which was actually too short. The location by the river is exactly how one imagines Sweden. Thank you very much!Translating
Small and cozy campsite in a lovely location. Quiet, with the sound of the rapids in the background. We got a spot up on the shelf overlooking the rapids—wonderful. There is a kitchen, shower, and outhouse. Older standard, but the most important thing is that it is clean and fresh. We would gladly come back.Translating
A beautiful, natural campsite right by the river. Pure nature. Very friendly operator. Lovely hiking trails. Fire pits right by the river. The sanitary facilities are clean despite their age. We extended our stay by one night because this place is simply magical. We will gladly return.Translating
Top site. We stayed on the hill with an incredible view of the river. There is a swimming area (very stony!). The toilets are dry toilets, and the showers also need improvement. The owner is very nice but not always there. Book online, choose your pitch, and that’s it! We paid about €32 for electricity, a camper van, three people, and a dog. We would come again.Translating
Small-scale campsite in the middle of nature. We stayed with our camper van in a beautiful spot overlooking the river. It was lovely there. The sanitary facilities are basic but clean. Campfires are allowed. Friendly people.Translating
Good campsite for transit. The view is amazing. Toilet a bit old.Translating
Nature park campsite. Exactly what you look for in Sweden. A fantastically well-maintained small campsite directly on a river with rapids. Super-friendly operator and very clean sanitary facilities. Two typically Swedish toilets, meaning pit toilets, which were also very clean and did not smell. Kitchen, waste disposal, drinking water—everything is available. We will return.Translating
The showers are somewhat dated but clean, with a large cubicle. What some people here call mold is rust from the metal frame of the shower walls; I saw no mold. Great view, nice people. There is no greywater disposal, which is a shame. I cannot comment on the toilets because I did not use them.Translating
Overall, a very beautifully located campsite. The sanitary facilities are unacceptable, especially the smelly pit toilet. The shower is very outdated and moldy. We used neither and stayed anyway. The sanitary facilities urgently need investment. We paid €30 in cash for one night with a motorhome and two adults, including electricity.Translating
Great campsite and an excellent fishing spot. You need a license to fish. The campsite owner is really friendly. Very beautiful view, very quiet. Swimming area. Top.Translating
The site is fine for staying self-sufficiently. Beautiful location and clean. But the horribly smelly pit toilet is unacceptable!Translating
Great campsite. We stayed there while passing through, but it is also worth staying longer.Translating
Lovely place directly on the river with everything you need. The operator is very friendly. You can start hiking directly from here on signposted trails. The shower and toilet need urgent renovation, although they are still clean. If we were nearby next time, we would definitely come back.Translating
Quiet, peaceful campsite where you are allowed to make your own campfire. Outdated sanitary facilities, but everything else is well maintained. Unfortunately, the rubbish was collected at 7:00 a.m. with a lot of noise; just bad luck.Translating
Great site with very beautiful surroundings! Very friendly operator. One star deducted because of the toilet situation. Nevertheless, we would come back.Translating
Very beautiful site directly on the river, with opportunities for swimming, fishing, and hiking. Very quiet and in the middle of nature. The sound of the rapids is all you can hear. Highly recommended for relaxing! The price per night with a motorhome, including electricity, is 300 SEK. Sanitary facilities are available but were not used. Highly recommended!Translating
By far the most beautiful pitch we have had so far, worthy of the series Virgin River. It is simply magnificent! All the pitches are very level and well spaced out. The welcome is warm, and a barbecue and dining area has just been added.
Very warm welcome. Excellent pitch facing the river. Possibility of emptying the toilet and filling up with water. We only used the kitchen to wash our dishes. We were peaceful, with only the sound of the river. We paid less than €24 for one night. There are walking opportunities.
Three stars for the site. The operator is very nice. If you are completely self-sufficient, the site is a dream, but this pit toilet is unacceptable. It smells very strongly. I am really not sensitive, but this is too much. Otherwise everything is very clean and the water was warm, even hot. You can also go hiking from there. Everything is well described.
Beautiful pitch overlooking the water. Pit toilet. The showers are clean but somewhat damaged. Hot water is available only briefly. The operator is very friendly and relaxed. We stayed here for two nights.
