Been here?
This is a quiet parking area for visiting Sabotin’s museum, trenches, underground passages and hiking routes. It offers superb views, especially at sunset, but teenagers may arrive in the evening and broken bottle glass has been reported. The route via Podsabotin is suitable only for 4×4 vehicles, and the attraction closes at 15:00 in July.

The place is potentially very good with views and the attraction closes quite early (15:00 in July). However, by sunset a group of party going teenagers arrived and that is adding to the fact when we were exploring the trenches we saw a lot of broken bottle glass. We left to avoid being annoyed at night
We spent the night alone and without any noise in this parking area, which allows you to visit the small museum and the hiking trails leading to the trenches and underground passages of Sabotin Park.
Sabotin is worth visiting for its trenches and galleries. Very beautiful walks along the Path of Peace. A historic site in very good condition. We spent a trouble-free night in the parking area. About ten people stayed until 9 p.m. to enjoy a picnic. The first walker arrived at 9:30 this morning. Flat ground, one bin, clean area. Accessible to motorhomes up to 7 m long.
Amazing views and absolute peace! We arrived Sunday evening, and from 9:00 p.m. until 10:00 the next morning nobody else was there. Despite the trash bins, the place was slightly dirty... Please dispose of your rubbish or take it with you. The route via Podsabotin is REALLY ONLY DRIVEABLE WITH 4×4. We don't have 4×4 and slid and got stuck every 10 meters (steep gravel road, extremely uneven).
We finally found it!!! Be careful, no GPS will take you there. You have to take the road to Smartno, where you can make a little detour through the village, which is quite nice. Then take the Sabota road toward Park Miru. The road is narrow for about 5 km, and the parking area is at the end.
Arrived around 7:00 p.m.; a few other cars were still in the parking area. We climbed the mountain and enjoyed the sunset. When we returned a few hours later, we were alone. We had a quiet night; around 7:30 a.m. the first other cars arrived again. PS: The road via Podsabotin, which Google Maps directs you over, is very steep and later becomes an unpaved road. Really only suitable for 4x4.
