Route du Sanetsch, 1976, Conthey
Been here?
This is an earthen pitch beside the road from Conthey to the Sanetsch pass. There's no height restriction, and while signs are posted, they refer to tunnels further up toward the pass; larger vehicles should still take care, as the villages along the way are narrow. In winter, when the road closes beyond this point, the spot serves as a parking area and starting point for hikes with seal skins or snowshoes, while in summer it is quiet and rarely crowded.
