19 Sankt Ibs Vej, 4000, Roskilde
Been here?
A small parking area near Roskilde’s port, Viking Ship Museum and city centre, with the cathedral about 600m away. Recent comments mention only 4 camper spaces, although boats may occupy the larger area. It is generally quiet at night, with some road noise and occasional activity from the nearby scout camp. There are no services, and the original limit is 3.5 tons.

Lovely place for a quiet night in this small parking area near the port and Viking museum.Translating
Four spaces at the entrance and 10–12 in the square area between the hedges on the left. We parked our 7.5 m vehicle without any problem. Quiet for a peaceful night. Much more pleasant than the paved parking area a few meters away. A little greenery does you good! There is a rubbish bin at the entrance, and picnic tables on the right that can be used when the scouts are not there, as indicated by the sign.Translating
Four spaces; unfortunately, it smells like sewage here. We therefore moved to the parking area across the road by the harbor. Otherwise, we had a quiet night, and you may use the scouts’ picnic benches next door.Translating
Thanks for the information. We arrived around 10 p.m. Two of the four spaces were occupied. Beautiful, quiet place and close to everything.Translating
Only four motorhome spaces.Translating
We had to leave because it was full of boats and cars.Translating
Only 4 spaces available today but lucky to get the last one. Still boats in the larger area. Great place for a visit to the town, the museum or to stop for a night. Had to head on to Sweden so only stayed a couple of hours. My camper is 7m. I would not really want to park anything much bigger unless you have a lot of overhang behind the rear wheels.
We parked in this lot to visit the town and it was perfect. We arrived Saturday morning and there were plenty of spaces. We were able to visit the town without any limitations. The lot is clean, quiet and safe, close to the center and museum. No services.Translating
Small parking spot, perfectly located. Quite a few spaces are occupied by trailers, and it can get busy in the evening as there’s a scout camp nearby. Some road noise, but night was okay. Two playgrounds close by, and in the center there’s a big library with a very nice kids’ section.
We can recommend it. Quiet, close to the town and Viking village.Translating
Small parking area with few spaces. We were lucky to find a place after visiting the town in the late afternoon and stayed for the evening and night. Quite calm overall; the road is noisy early in the morning, depending on how deeply you sleep.Translating
Ideal parking for visiting Roskilde. Few motorhome spaces, fairly quiet at night.Translating
Excellent for visiting the city; we stopped only during the day. Very small, so you have to be lucky to find a space.Translating
Close to the center and next to the Viking museum. Avoid the spaces above the sewers, on the right at the entrance, because they smell strongly. We did not spend the night there.Translating
Very good place, well located between the museum and the cathedral, via a beautiful park.Translating
More than adequate parking for visiting the town and harbor. The cathedral and central streets are a pleasant walk through a park. The Viking museum is right next door. It is not very large and finding a space is difficult, but just as we arrived, a Spanish motorhome was leaving and we were able to park. We did not sleep there, but it seems very peaceful for spending the night.Translating
Relatively quiet parking for a city center, well located. It is a small parking area also used by local residents.Translating
The spaces are suitable for motorhomes up to 7 m. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are prohibited. Very quiet spot directly at the harbor. There are toilets there too. Only 500 m from the church. Almost level spaces with grass pavers.Translating
A quiet parking area near the museum and 10 minutes from the cathedral; overnight parking is not prohibited. We only stayed to visit the city and then continued our journey.Translating
Perfect location, just a short walk from the Viking ship museum and 10 minutes on foot from the cathedral.Translating
Just spent the night here. Free but no services. Nice and neat and just across the road from the Viking museum which is free to enter and very interesting. Also a must is the UNESCO Cathedral in the city. Absolutely stunning.
Thank you for the free spot near the harbor. No services, but very well located.Translating
