30 Seestraße, 79108, Freiburg im Breisgau
Been here?
This is a campsite beside a lake offering swimming and other water activities, with spacious pitches and clean, functional sanitary facilities. A restaurant, kiosk, and takeaway pizzas are available, although some services may close on Mondays and Tuesdays. The nearby highway can be clearly or very loudly audible, and festivals across the lake may prevent a quiet evening. Freiburg is reachable by bicycle via attractive paths over 10 km away; dogs are heavily restricted and cost 3€ each.

More expensive than indicated. Price for one van, two adults, and two teenagers aged 14 to 17: €51.61. Apparently electricity is included. Only one sanitary building for all services, including black-water emptying, and one gray-water drainage area at one end of the campsite. Beautiful lake. Spacious, sunny pitches for short stays. The distant highway noise is barely bothersome.
Do not expect too much. Fine campsite. The lake provides most of the entertainment. 10 km by bike to Freiburg. On July 17, 2026, there is a festival across the lake. Do not expect a quiet evening.
Warning, campers. Please check your electricity consumption before and after. I was supposed to pay €11 in electricity costs even though I had not plugged in any power cable.
Large campsite in a beautiful location by a lake with water activities. Clean sanitary facilities. Within cycling distance of Freiburg via beautiful bike paths (10 km).
Yeah. If you want to use the water-ski facility, it is very convenient and actually reasonably priced. However, if you are coming from a holiday in Italy, you will experience a real culture shock from German rule-following. There are rules for everything. If you walk somewhere with your dog, someone immediately tells you that dogs are forbidden here or there.
Generally okay, but the facilities are somewhat far away depending on where you are placed. Camper + 2 people without electricity: €32.50 in August.
As friendly as the staff are, it is a disaster for dog owners, and they still charge €3 per dog. Dogs are not allowed on the meadows or to go for walks on the premises!
Spacious pitches, well-maintained sanitary facilities, a bathing lake with plenty of activities for children, and very friendly reception. Restaurant, snack bar, and kiosk on site. You can hear the road, but it did not disturb us. We were passing through and will come back.
Charming campsite. We spent one night right in front of the lake, where you can swim. Clean and adequate facilities. Very friendly.
Very nice campsite. The owners are extremely friendly, and we had a fantastic, very large pitch with a view of the lake. The site is also perfect for travelers passing through, as it is right next to the motorway. The sanitary facilities are somewhat dated but clean. Restaurant and kiosk are excellent. I will definitely come back.
Actually very nice, with the lake and good sanitary facilities, but the motorway is incredibly loud! It feels like parking at a motorway service area. The campsite is also absolutely not dog-friendly! You cannot walk your dog around the campsite; you have to leave the grounds, which is very unfriendly.
Nice campsite, spacious pitches, clean and good sanitary facilities. Friendly staff. Almost perfect, except that the motorway can be heard at night.
Convenient as a stopover. You can enter until 10 p.m. There is always space. By a lake. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is fine. The sanitary facilities are clean and good. The ACSI price is now €27. Too bad that despite having enough space, they put the campers close together this time.
The restaurant deserves praise here. The food is good, including special daily dishes. The site is pleasantly laid out by the lake, but because of the motorway it is definitely too noisy. Sanitary facilities are average. We stayed for only two days to visit Freiburg. Electricity is charged separately.
They accommodated us despite arriving late; thank you very much. We used it only as a stopover. The bathrooms are very well equipped and numerous, though somewhat far from the camping area. Ideal campsite if you like spending all day in a swimsuit and soaking in the lake. It is definitely not a quiet campsite.
We stayed here for three nights and I still find it difficult to rate. The reception was friendly and we were shown to our pitch. The instructions on how to park are unusual. The sanitary facilities are sufficiently large and were clean. The lake is pleasant in good weather, clear, and good for swimming. We did not try the food. We could barely hear the motorway from our pitch. But you have to like the permanent-camper atmosphere. We found it oppressive: so many garden fences and rather stuffy long-term guests watching you. Not our thing.
Three weeks ago we requested a reservation for the first time by email. No response. About a week ago we tried again. No answer. After many attempts we finally reached someone by phone. Yes, they had received the emails and would get back to us on Monday. To this day we have heard nothing, and nobody answers the phone. Even a rejection would at least have been an answer. No response whatsoever is unacceptable. Impossible!
Convenient parking near Freiburg, with a pleasant lake for swimming, large pitches, and clean bathrooms. The downside is that you can hear the nearby motorway a lot.
Excellent stopover on the way to Italy. We stayed without a reservation with a view of the lake. Sanitary facilities and amenities were clean and good. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant. For two people including everything: €28.35.
We stayed there last year for one night on the way home from Italy. We called spontaneously and were warmly welcomed and escorted to our pitch. The nearby motorway did not bother us; we found it very practical that the site is not far from the motorway as a stopover. Very good restaurant on site! Very friendly and delicious.
