By chance—we were collecting a stamp for the Harz Hiking Needle—I checked the app and saw that we were at the “hotel.” I quickly read the reviews and made an inquiry. Everything is as described. We were able to stay free of charge on the meadow and use the toilet and shower. Grill buffet for €12 per person; à la carte would certainly have been amazing. It is wonderful that this is offered. Great. Kind, helpful people; we stayed on the field for two nights. A sort of holiday resort. Swimming pool, lots of activities for children. Hotel, bungalows, farm. A little faded in its former glory, but that makes it very atmospheric. Good food at low prices. Main courses between €8.50 and €11.50. Free water, free swimming pool. Very peaceful yet lively. Five kilometers of unpaved forest road, but easily drivable. Recommended.✦Translating

We have been coming to this wonderful place for the fourth year in a row and will keep up the tradition. The sanitary facilities are somewhat basic but completely adequate. Anyone looking for luxury will probably not find it here. The East German charm is very special and present everywhere. The food is very inexpensive. As a couple, you can get by on about €20 in the evening and stay for free. Quite a good deal!✦Translating
