Roadside parking, quiet nights

Beside the road but far enough back to be quiet, with no real view. The lake tour path passes by for mountain biking and a short walking loop. Not necessarily the lake's best spot, but useful if arriving late. A dam is 1 km downhill, and access to the lake is somewhat—very—acrobatical for adults via a ladder at the end of the descent from the parking area.

Very pleasant spot for one night! Passing through in mid-May, we appreciated the quiet location well away from the road. The place is clean and practical, with two picnic tables and a rubbish bin. No traffic at night, with a peaceful and restful atmosphere at the end of the day. A quiet stop I highly recommend.

Parking set back from the road with two large picnic tables. Very quiet night, with a lovely sunrise. In the morning you can hear the bells of nearby villages and birdsong. No facilities, although there is a rubbish container.

Large grassy parking area near the road, but hidden by vegetation, and the road is really not busy. A view of the turquoise lake. Tables are available, so you do not need to take out your own. A free area for the dog. Very quiet night and morning too.

Perfect spot if everyone respects the place. We did not take out our table. Picnic table available. Perfect toilets. Water point. Great walk and a great restaurant. This spot is pure happiness!

Beautiful parking area, set back behind a bend on a lightly trafficked road, overlooking the turquoise-colored reservoir. Two benches with tables are available, as well as a rubbish bin. No sanitary facilities. A very beautiful place; leave it clean. We stayed here on both the outward and return journeys to the Mediterranean. We also highly recommend the reservoir for swimming.

A very large and very quiet spot on the heights above Lake Vouglans.

Very quiet night, great spacious spot set back from the lightly trafficked road, which is quiet in the evening and at night. The wooden table in the morning sun and the view of the lake are a big plus. Clean place.

Really nice place, enough space, flat ground, lightly trafficked road and little noise. Poor network coverage for me. About two large tables seating around ten people. Starting point for walks. I recommend it.

Ideal place for one night! Very, very quiet and surrounded by nature! Tables and rubbish bins are available. At this time of year the view of the lake is not really unobstructed, but that is not a real problem. The space is large, leaving room between each van. Highly recommended.
