Been here?
A large, level asphalt parking area in a quiet location, but overnight camping is now prohibited. Recent reports describe regular evening checks and requests to leave during the night, with a camping-prohibited sign displayed. Daytime parking may still be possible, although the area can fill with workers’ vehicles on weekdays. No other current services are confirmed.

Starting this season, the local authorities/police regularly check all Camp4Night places at dusk. During our visit, we were approached several times and asked to leave the place at night. There are beautiful campsites everywhere that can be used.Translating
What a shame, as of today there is a prohibition sign saying “camping prohibited.” I think parking should not be a problem. At weekends the place is unused anyway.Translating
The barriers are always open. A quiet overnight stay on asphalt pitches is guaranteed. Trash bins available. During weekdays, workers occupy some spaces during the day, but there is no disturbance because there is plenty of room.Translating
Great weekend spot as an alternative to the city’s reservation-only and usually fully booked pitches. It is located on a mountain, so walking or cycling into the city is somewhat strenuous. The barriers were permanently open; if necessary, it would also be possible to bypass them over a curb and a piece of grass.Translating
Unfortunately, the parking lot is closed by barriers.Translating
Very nice place where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Few cars, and the parking lot lights do not come on until 5:30 a.m.Translating
A great quiet place. Hardly any other cars. If you walk a little back along the road, there is a great view (see photos).Translating
Everything was great: a nice level parking lot with little activity. Overnight stays are allowed here. At night the parking lot was almost empty.Translating
Perfect place for one night! The barriers were open the whole time. Nice and level. We were alone in the huge parking lot. It is best to park farther back, as the lot fills up in the morning with cars belonging to customs, THW, and Bundeswehr employees. Nobody said anything. No prohibition signs for motorhomes. Really great and quiet!Translating
Beautiful huge place to spend the night. Only three other cars; I was the only camper. Streetlights are far away, so it is relatively dark. You can hear cars passing over the cobblestones, but there were not many. For access, search for “DDR children’s home”; at first I was on the wrong side.Translating
