Mountain-view parking, daytime noise

This is a large, flat parking area on the heights, offering wide mountain views and attractive sunsets. It is easy to access and usually quiet at night, but road and industrial noise can be constant during the day. The adjoining wood business brings some worker traffic, and phone signal is reported to be excellent.

Large parking area with a beautiful view, a little too close to the road and the wood factory.
Superb grassy, flat site, easy to access, with an unbeatable view of the mountain ranges. Perfect for one night.
Looks a bit grim and scruffy. Plenty of space and a nice view (in one direction), but constant industrial noise during the day. Quiet at night. Excellent phone signal.
Great spot on the heights of Champeix, with owls and other birds for company. Only the workers from the adjacent wood company use the access road.

Very beautiful view, as mentioned in the comments. There is some road noise, but it is fairly infrequent, and in the morning the employees start their workday. Otherwise, a very beautiful spot, though it is becoming increasingly sought-after, especially during holiday periods.

Superb view of the Sancy range, and honestly, I didn’t hear the cars except in the morning when the sawmill employees started arriving from 7 a.m.

Spent one night during the week. Pleasant space. The grass is uncut and there are some insects. The woodshop next door starts making noise from 7 a.m. on weekdays.

had a great night here, the only van. Busy carpenters shop at the end of the road but they close at about 6 and then a fantastic sunset and a quiet night. Thanks for finding it and the locality for keeping it available.
Very interesting site, with a beautiful view of Puy de Sancy, peacefully located next to a chapel that is falling into ruin.
