Waterside picnic area, noisy mornings

Warning! Since the rain in March, the water has been turquoise due to contamination from the nearby mine. Do not swim! Information is available online. There are no signs warning about it!

We arrived in the late afternoon/evening on Friday and it was fairly quiet. There was a family or two swimming, but little else. The night was very peaceful, but the next morning fishermen arrived very early and the place filled up with groups of friends playing loud music from early in the morning.

Stayed in the picnic area for a night. Was some other cars parked nearby in the evening with loud music and some dogs barking but otherwise quiet.

I stayed here for 2,5 days. It is an amazing place, able to swim. Perfect spot if you travel with a dog. In the evening the local youth come here to spend time. I passed some time with one of those groups and had amazing conversations. They do play music too, so maybe avoid the weekends. Yes there was rubbish, I filled one garbage bag to leave it better than I received it! Was hard to leave!

Attention, parking is permitted in a small lot; do not drive down, as it is prohibited (police inspection, with a warning). Unpaved road. The road going up into the hills is in very poor condition; do not take risks. For 4x4 vehicles? But very risky. We just stopped to eat, fortunately.... Too bad it was brief, but it was a beautiful place.

A beautiful place for hiking and swimming. There are many flies and wasps but very few mosquitoes. There is a rubbish problem, partly due to the missing lids on the trash containers.

Quiet and peaceful place for the night.

beautiful place to stay! amazing views and super peaceful. definitely recommend. if you do stay here please bring some extra food for the cutest little kitten and lovely dog up here, super friendly and seem to be stray - was so hard to leave!
