It’s a 3 for ambiance and noise but really a 5 because at least you can legally park here. Otherwise the town of Hastings makes being in a motorhome feel very unwelcome. It can be tricky finding an empty spot after 6, especially if you are large, but we fit a 7.4 in here no worries. Pays to be able to reverse parallel park! We stayed here for one night with no issues.
On the street and level. Free overnight, and close to the beach and town. Quieter than expected at night; only a few cars pass then, and the seafront shops are closed. Free from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m.Translating
Rock-a-Nore car park would've been a better pick but we didn't fit through the gate. Here it's suitable for bigger motorhomes. We parked in front of Flamingo's. At daytime you have to be lucky (which we were), in the evening there's enough choice. Perfect when wanting to spend some time at the beach but not taking the stairs or funicular back up to Castle Hill Rd. The spot itself isn't attractive
