1 Via degli Artigiani, 50041, Fiesole
Been here?
This is a quiet, secure motorhome parking area, with a slightly sloping official section, a level area above and another parking area across the road. A nearby fountain provides still and sparkling water, while bus number 7 reaches Florence for €1.70. Access through Fiesole is very narrow, so larger motorhomes should approach via the recommended route. The area is suitable for daytime visits and overnight stays have generally been possible.

Good parking for a daily visit.
Warning!!! Three days and two nights without problems, but on the third day, a Sunday evening around 6 p.m., a woman knocked on the door while the lights were off in the van, suggesting that nobody was there. Clearly embarrassed and not expecting to see anyone, she stammered and sped away in her car. Probably scouting the area! Too quiet for my liking... Information is up to date.
The “official” area is somewhat sloped but acceptable. At the top there are also about five spaces on much flatter ground. Across the street there is a level parking area. Suitable for spending the night.
Very good spot. The streets are narrow on the way there, so if coming from Florence it is better to enter from outside the village, going around it first. A five-minute walk away there is sparkling and still water from a public fountain, and ten minutes away is bus line 7, which takes you to Florence for €1.70.
The campsite directly in Florence was full, so after a straightforward phone call we spontaneously drove here. Dogs are very welcome, including in the restaurant, which has a spectacular view over Florence. We paid €41 for one night for our T6, two people, and a dog. A small tip: take the longer route on Google Maps, otherwise you will have to drive steeply uphill through narrow streets with your mirrors folded in. The longer route is also suitable for large motorhomes. We would happily return. Everything you need is included—shower, toilet, washing machine—and the staff are very nice.
We actually had to park in the area opposite the van parking. It was not busy and there were plenty of parks so the fact we took up 2 parking spots was not even noticed. We stayed the night after a long day exploring Florence and felt very safe. The roads in are very narrow.
Very good place, but be careful with large motorhomes: do not enter the town. The streets are very narrow. On the way up, at the roundabout, take the first left by the church.
Quiet place, we felt safe. Thirty minutes by bus (€1.70) to Florence, which is entirely a ZTL zone. No services.
We spent two days in Florence. There were spaces available and vans already parked. The place is very quiet. We did not feel that we were causing any inconvenience, as can sometimes happen. Ten minutes from a bus stop that takes you to Florence station in 30 minutes for €1.70 per person. No services.
Ideal for visiting Florence: free parking, bus nearby, and the van was safe. We slept there peacefully for one night and had a nice view. No toilet.
