Been here?
A quiet, flat gravel parking area near Hotel-Café-Restaurant Heidsmühle, suitable for one or more nights. Electricity can be activated at the hotel, although only sockets 3 and 4 were reported working. There are no other facilities, but a supermarket is within walking distance. The site is surrounded by trees near a small lake and stream, with many hiking trails nearby.

Great site, no size restrictions, very quiet. A bit of green waste around the back of the parking lot and a burn pile with some rubbish, but otherwise very good. Down in the valley, so minimal morning sun and chilly in the evening, but surrounded by trees, a small lake, and the sound of the river. Confirming no facilities, but electricity is available for a small fee.
Looks nice, and hiking trails start here. Only sockets 3 and 4 work. There was no socket left for me, so I drove on.
Excellent camper spot. Quietly located, free, and a perfect starting point for a beautiful walk. It was neat and clean. Apart from electricity—ask at the hotel—there are no facilities. We ate very well at the restaurant next door.
Gravel parking area, flat and level. Weddings with loud music take place on Friday and Saturday evenings. Cars park beside the motorhomes and leave during the night. On Sundays, restaurant day visitors park directly beside and between the motorhomes. Beautiful hikes! No lighting at night, which is excellent. Electricity is available through the hotel reception.
A very beautiful place in an exceptionally beautiful area. However, because of the rubbish lying around, one star deducted.
The site is not beautiful, but it is free and serves its purpose. Mobile reception is okay; it probably depends on your provider whether it works. We spent a quiet night. Definitely recommended.
Beautiful and quiet location right near the hotel. The parking area is free, but it also serves as a bus parking area. No waste disposal available. Electricity is available; ask at the hotel reception. Ideal starting point for hikes or visitors to the via ferrata at the castle.
The stars are for the location, peace, and the fact that it is free. Otherwise, the site has become a dumping ground for materials and a bus parking area. A shame; as motorhome travelers, we do not want to park among junk.
Great spot, restaurant right next door. However, absolutely no mobile reception, so be prepared for that.
Quiet parking area next to the hotel. I slept like a baby. Only some lighting in the parking area would be useful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the prices were reasonable.
Beautiful place. As a self-sufficient rooftop-tent camper—yes, we exist—the construction work did not bother me. I will return!
It can be quite full on weekends and in good weather, but there are fewer people on weekdays. Very peaceful to stay.
The hotel is currently being expanded, so there is some construction noise from 7:00 a.m. It is still tolerable. In addition, the restaurant is closed for holidays, so dining is not possible. Nevertheless, beautiful location and ideal for hiking. There was no electricity, most likely because the fuse had tripped.
Quiet, level gravel area; if you are self-sufficient, it is an ideal place. The restaurant is okay.
After our good experience last year, we came back again, including for dinner and breakfast. After the hike, we got coffee at the restaurant and enjoyed it in front of our motorhome. We did not use electricity because we are self-sufficient; it apparently cost €3.50, which is absolutely fair!
Great place for hiking and spending the night. Space for several campers. About four electrical sockets are available and can be activated at the restaurant. We did not need electricity, so I do not know the cost. Plenty of sunshine for solar panels when the sun is shining. Very quiet at night. Please do not leave rubbish behind and do not go into the bushes!
Lovely, peaceful spot, friendly people, and a good restaurant. We are always happy to return. Electricity is a flat €3.50 per day. Electricity posts 1 and 2 are still not working.
Of the five electricity sockets, only two worked. The man at reception was not particularly helpful either. Unfortunately, we moved on.
Parking just above, also perfect and quiet for the night.
Very beautiful place directly on the rocky coast. We spent one night here. At night, you can hear the waves and wind, which is pleasant. The road where you park is part of the Camino de Santiago, so some pilgrims walk past. Please leave the place clean!
What an incredibly beautiful location. Magnificent hiking trails and a very rugged coast. We enjoyed it immensely! Spacious parking area with enough room to turn around. Note: no rubbish bins, so take your waste with you. It can be very windy—real sea wind! We recommend this place!
Very uneven and narrow. Difficult access if another vehicle comes toward you.
We spent a quiet night here. Waves, sound of the sea, and nobody else around. Highly recommended.
