Gregorčičeva ulica 8, 4000, Kranj
Been here?
A motorhome stop beside Kranj’s Old Town, with electricity, water and facilities for emptying dirty water and toilet cassettes. The site is currently closed for archaeological excavations, according to the most recent report. When operating, it costs 19€ and is about a 5-minute walk from the historic centre, with payment at the parking machine above the site. Recent reports also mention loud teenagers at night and confusing payment instructions.

This place is currently closed due to archaeological excavations. I parked in the parking area to see the town and had to pay 19 euros for less than two hours. I find that completely unacceptable, hence actually not a single star, but one is required to submit the review.
19 euros even if you are there for a minute. The price is the same. At night loud teenagers come; really not calm.
You have to pay at the machine in the parking area above.
Very quiet place, a 5-minute walk to the old town. You drive past the large car parking area, then take a small access road down to private property with a barrier, where you take a ticket. To pay when leaving, you first have to walk up to the machine at the large car parking area. Unfortunately, it was defective for us and accepted neither cash nor card!
Good, quiet place to spend the night and visit the town. Waste disposal, water and electricity included in the price.
Central location, quiet place, little used. €19 including water, electricity and waste disposal. We stayed two nights and visited the pretty town. Payment is made at the parking meter.
Great stop if you want to stay the night close to the town centre but nice and quiet. No information on how to pay. Take the ticket at the barrier and when you want to leave, go up to the pay station at the carpark above you on the road. We managed to pay by card no worries. Pay when leaving - not on arrival. 19 euros. 5/6 camper spots. Electricity, grey water and chem toilet dump all included.
Very nice pitch including electricity for €19!! Absolutely quiet and right next to the town. We were alone there but felt safe. Waste disposal and water included.
Well signposted and okay for one night. Not the prettiest but central. One part is well lit, another somewhat dark. At the entrance it says the first 20 minutes are free and afterward the daily rate is €19.
Avoid at all costs! We had to pay 19—yes, really, nineteen—euros just to park for two hours while visiting the pretty but not especially interesting old part of the town! The pitch, also used as a normal car park, is uninviting, and we did not try whether the water or electricity worked.
Area shared with cars. Very spacious. All services including electricity. Right next to the historic center. €18 per day, payable at the cashier in the upper parking area, which does not accept cards.
€19 per night with waste disposal and water included; next to a medical center and the town center. Cash payment because the parking meter did not accept Visa.
Although a bit expensive (19€) it's right next to the old town and has all services. However, it feels a bit unsafe, we arrived on a Sunday noon and there was no one. It is a big gravel space not visible from the street. We finally decided not to stay overnight. The card reader did not work at the payment terminal, we had to pay with cash.
€19 for parking, with the first 20 minutes free, but when we arrived at the barrier it did not open and we had to pay anyway. Rude and inflexible staff said they spoke only English, but after the insults they also learned Italian. Avoid.
Good place. Used it for an overnight stop. The only disturbance was teenagers throwing bottles at night.
Attention, hardcore fans only! I highly recommend it to those who enjoy an exciting and unpredictable night! Its location is good—close to the town—but it is not only a camper parking area; it is also a gathering place for drug-using youths, and the Slovenian Warriors Club trains here at night. We looked for where to pay but could not find it. Anyone can enter day or night; there is no security check.
The ticket is bought in the parking area above, but the entrance barrier does not work—you have to call to have it opened. Electricity works only with coins and is covered up. You can empty black and gray water, but there is nowhere to connect a hose for filling water. €19?? I think it is a rip-off.
More of a large parking area, but with everything you need (electricity, water and waste disposal), close to the center! €19 all-inclusive! The ticket payment machine is above the parking area.
Attention! The parking area costs €19 even if you only park briefly.
The location itself is great, but despite that it is not a particularly appealing camper spot. In my opinion it should cost no more than €5, but they charge the astronomical amount of €19. We drove on after visiting the village. Kranj itself is okay, but honestly nothing special.
We had a good night on this parking area. The old town is quick but pleasant to visit, and there was a neighborhood festival. We had a nice surprise in the morning because the barriers were raised, so our stop was free... nice.
We had a good night here. View of the old town. The center is a maximum of 10 minutes away on foot. Electricity and water were free!! Otherwise, €19 for 24 hours. Attention: the parking meter accepts only cash and not €20 notes. Visiting the tunnel system for €6 is worthwhile.
Excellent area, isolated and quiet, with services working even in winter (water included) and free. The town is lovely. It should cost €19 per day, although we were unable to pay because the barriers were raised and it did not issue a ticket.
At the end of December everything was free: water, waste disposal and electricity. We did not stay overnight because a group of young people was on site and we did not want to be disturbed. Note that there are only six electricity hookups, although there is room for more vehicles.
