Been here?
Free lakeside parking beside the Slokas observation tower, bird-watching area and walking trails, with a fire pit and benches. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, but local cars, teenagers and early-morning fishermen can occasionally create noise. Mosquitoes are numerous, and there is no portable toilet or waste disposal. Access includes about 2km of dirt road, and the spot can be busy with visitors during the day.

Really great and very quiet place. Fire pit with benches available. Nice paths for walking or hiking. We spent a very relaxing night here with two other campers.Translating
Parking next to the observation tower at Lake Slokas. Excellent place for several motorhomes. The two-kilometer dirt road to get there and some low branches were not a problem. Absolute peace and quiet.Translating
The spot seems okay, but i guess you need to be lucky to have quite and peace. Thuesday night, cars with teenagers and music until midnight and in the morning first fishermen from 5:30 with a compressor to blow up a boat.
Beautiful place in front of a beautiful lake with swans. It’s close to a couple of trails from the national park. There’s a beautiful birds observatory with picnic table.
Lovely spot by the lake. We didn’t stay because a car arrived at 10 p.m. with some drunk people who put on music to party. Maybe avoid Friday and Saturday nights...Translating
Beautiful spot with seating and a fire pit right by the lake, with an observation tower. However, there are a lot of mosquitoes because the marsh trail starts right next to it. We were lucky, and from 8 p.m. onward nobody else came by.Translating
Small parking area at the start of a short, pretty walk through the marsh and to a bird-watching tower. Busy until dusk and visited by anglers from 4 a.m.; quiet in between. Naturally, lots of mosquitoes. Seating, fire pit, morning sun. Access is fairly comfortable for a motorhome.Translating
no toi toi and mosquitoes are unbelievable. great view at the lake
We were here on a Sunday, so there were many day-trippers around. From 8 p.m. onward, we had the place to ourselves.Translating
Super beautiful landscape, also well visited by hikers and others in the off-season. Basically very quiet. No smell and no flies in early April. There are information signs about sulfur springs, which would explain the comments about the smell. There is no waste disposal here. 4G reception. I felt safe here while traveling solo.Translating
Parking area surrounded by marshland, which was truly impressively beautiful, with walking trails through the marsh. At the same time, there was a strong smell and swarms of mosquitoes, so one night was enough for us. Fire pit available. Locals came in the evening to make campfires; also busy during the day with hikers.Translating
National park. Overnight stays are prohibited here.Translating
Beautiful place by the water, with ducks and lots of swans. The shore is not suitable for swimming. A nature trail starts directly from the parking area. When we arrived in the evening there were only a few cars, but during the evening and night (Saturday–Sunday) the place and roadside became packed. Around 1:30 a.m., families with children were still leaving the parking area. The rest of the night was completely peaceful for sleeping.Translating
