A large paid parking area below Monreale Cathedral, with a pizzeria nearby and the cathedral about 15 minutes away on foot. Recent information reports that overnight stays are not allowed, although earlier stays were described as quiet. Access is easier and less busy than other cathedral parking, but the area has also been reported as dark and close to the main road.

Very large parking area; some sanitary workers guided us in very kindly. We did not stay overnight. Fifteen minutes' walk to the cathedral.
Quiet night at the back part of the parking area.
Large bus parking area, but you can easily find a place in front of the pizzeria. The cathedral can be reached on foot via a 15-minute uphill walk (€7 entrance). Slept well on Sunday night!
Despite the proximity of the Carabinieri station, the parking area is too dark, too close to the main road, and looks abandoned. We did not stay.
If I could have given one star, I would have. Parking for a bus or anything larger is impossible.
