Strada Statale 25 del Moncenisio, 10057, Sant'Ambrogio di Torino
Been here?
Parking beside the road and starting point for the via ferrata to the Sacra di San Michele. Overnight stays are possible, although late-night cars, road traffic and trains can sometimes disturb the night. It is also suitable for visiting the village and nearby walking routes.

By the roadside but fairly quiet during the night.
Good for spending one night while travelling.
Not very quiet. At 8 in the morning, while I was still sleeping, the via ferrata guides came and knocked on my van to ask if I wanted to participate. Kind and friendly, but somewhat intrusive behaviour. The night was fairly quiet, but traffic and trains can be heard.
We spent one night here before climbing to Sacra. Everything was quiet. Good starting point for the via ferrata. For the hike, we preferred to drive to S. Ambrogio di Torino, two minutes away by van, park at Largo Baden Powell, and walk up the mule track (502). A 600-metre elevation gain, but well worth it! Sacra is worth seeing.
The parking area/bay is on a barely used road. The sound of the Amper is considerably louder. Very beautiful place. Thanks for adding it!
