Been here?
This isolated spot at the end of a quarry road is used for overnight stays and starts several walks. The parking area itself has no sea view, but nearby paths offer views of the Esterel hills. Nights are generally quiet, although dog walkers, runners and cyclists use the area until evening. Some reports mention occasional late-night visitors and unsettling vehicle activity.

There is more than one place. There is no view from the parking area, but you only need to walk a few metres along one of the two paths to get a beautiful view of the Esterel mountains. Dog walkers until around 8:30 p.m. A few slightly noisy young people passed by around 9 p.m. but did not stay long.
We spent two very good nights here. The place is very quiet. Only cars come to park for dog walks, and a few runners and cyclists passed by in the evening. The road ends 100 metres further on.
We spent two nights here over the weekend of November 11. No problem at all during those two nights. There are people here until 8 p.m. and again in the morning, but it is very quiet at night.
A meeting place for men, with a lot of traffic in the evening. Normally there is no problem if you tell them you are not looking for anything and calmly turn them away. Otherwise, the area is nice and therefore discreet.
WARNING! Isolated location. We came here on August 22, 2025, and a car came by three times. It was dark, and they shone their headlights directly at us. They stopped alongside us. We packed up and later encountered them again. This place is at the end of a long, deserted dead-end road; these people had no reason to be there unless they had bad intentions.
Beautifully located at the edge of a forest. Space for several vehicles. We left at 10 p.m. because there are wild boars. A van also drove slowly past us and shone its headlights at us. Very eerie; it seemed as though they wanted to rob us.
Starting point for walks, quiet area, dead end, so little traffic.
3.5 stars. We had a quiet night. Busy until 11:30 p.m. and again early in the morning! The parking area is right next to a road that ends in a dead end. It is a nice starting point for walks, but there is no sea view from the spot itself! There are processionary caterpillars and quite a lot of large spiders (for those of us who are arachnophobic and dog owners :D).
Quiet and pleasant area.
