Been here?
This former Espalion railway-station parking area is spacious, partly shaded and offers a beautiful view over the town. There are no services, but a greenway, walking and cycling routes, children’s games and the town are nearby; the village is about 10 minutes away on foot. It is generally quiet overnight, although activity begins from around 8h.

25-05-2026 16:00—very good for a shaded break, with spacious parking on the heights above the town.
Very quiet parking area for overnight stays. There is a downhill walk to the village. Activity starts in the morning from 8 a.m.
One star less because there was quite a lot of traffic, including teenagers making a lot of noise right next to the motorhome, and many dog walkers. It is quiet between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m., though, so it is not too bad! In fact, it was ideal for walking my own dog. Start of the greenway, on the former railway line. Water point available on the left side of the old station—excellent!
Very quiet; we stayed one night.
No services, but flat ground with a little shade. There are children's playgrounds behind the station, as well as the start of a hiking trail and cycle path. The town is a 10-minute walk away. We spent a peaceful night there.
Quiet parking area, ideal for spending a night and visiting this lovely village down below.
Wonderful view of the town; we slept very well.
Great, peaceful place with a beautiful view. I loved the town, and the castle is really worth visiting. There is a lovely restaurant.
Great quiet, level place. Thanks for the information?
Good starting point for the greenway, a bucolic 25 km round-trip bike ride to Bozouls, including 18 km of gravel, but it is worth it.
